  1. Walking dead 97 prevIew http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/image-skybound-comics-walking-dead-97-320070 Enjoy!
  2. Ikea has a decent selection of frame sizes, and hobby lobby or michaels is a good supplier of mats. I got a decent mat cutter and can do a good framing job for about 15-18 per piece of art.
  3. Anyone near Eldora, Ia Here's two on ebay, a four sided, and five sided. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Comic-book-spinner-rack-/150796224683?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item231c27c8ab
  4. Now take orders from the rest of us so we can buy up some of your leftovers at a discount.....
  5. I put my name in with all the local antique malls. I used to see these as display pieces so they could sell comics, pamphlets, catalogs, maps, ect. I also used www.allofcraigs.com to search and found mine about a two hour drive away. Paid $75 for a nice 4 sided (1980's) rack.
  6. An Edgar Church illustration from the last Heritage auction
  7. Went to three shops today, and they still had plenty of 95. Also saw plenty of 94. Looked for older issues as they seem to be pulling a decent premium and found some in ok condition, so I passed. Did pick up the 85 variant in solid NM. The art doesn't bug me. This isn't the common superhero book, so I don't expect the same art. The art can be loose, as long as it tells the emotion and story, and i think it does that effectively.
  8. I carry a hard sided briefcase that I mounted d-rings to so a shoulder strap can be used. Check your local goodwill or salvation army. These are nice because they fit two stacks of books side by side, or slabs longwise. They also have dividers, so as I get books signed I can move them to another slot in the case. As far as going behind a table, I'm fine with it. Easier to see the books and I can look at more books.
  9. I've been looking for any oa from megaton. My brother got me the oa to the whole megaton story from the Christmas special, but the original pages from 1-8 would be cool. I think I heard that the Larsen pages burned with his house in the 90's. But there are some other great artists that worked on the series.
  10. Seeing that Strange Tales 68 reminded me of my first two submissions And, until recently, the only graded copy (a 6.0 just sold on heritage or comiclink) Both books I've had for a while, but wanted to get them graded. Planning on doing more when I get the time and money.....
  11. I'm hoping a series with prequels comes out! My brother (who got me to read wd) and I were just talking about that! It was good to see a little of that in the last episode, but I also need to see it in the comics.
  12. People try and price stuff crazy at garage sales sometimes. If they are willing to go through the hassle of selling it on eBay, let them get the money, otherwise let the stuff sit. As far as finding stuff and making offers, it goes both ways. I went to an old lady's house one afternoon who called me about my classified ad about star wars toys. She pulls out really nice original carded 12 backs in beautiful shape. She set the price crazy low ($50 for 5 or 6 figures at the time, I can't remember), I countered at $150, and got them. I think I turned them in about a week for around $800. I've also popped on the asking price (even if it was low) and laughed my way to the bank. But there are times you buy a collection, and have to scrape every nickel out of it to break even.
  13. Plus if you look at the size of the comic, it would be the "rare treasury size" of action 1. If not larger.
  14. less drama, more zombies please. I need to see some good old fashioned head smacking (like from a couple of issues ago). Still need more. More......More zombies. Zombies. More.
  15. Just started reading "conviction".....had to skip to a later chapter to get my boba fett fix. Can't wait for the next book!
  16. Also picked up a Whiz 34 missing center fold and next wrap. Anyone need it, let me know.
