Anybody pick up anything from the Tom Mackie auction a few days ago. Good deals were to be had though I haven't seen an official prices realized list yet.

Gator,
What do you predict this will go for:
-
Anyway, I like this whole idea of clubs for owners of comics with decapitated heads. I can't wait to see the "Roly Poly 14" club.
Speaking of which - I just recently picked this up from eccomic. Much appreciated.
-
What should one expect to pay for a Aquaman vs Great White Shark in nice condition
-
Gator,
How will Whiz #2 (#1) hold up against the other mega-keys over time? Will Fawcetts in general ever gain momentum? Or just the Raboy books?
-
Dear Gator,
Will Hello Pal #1 skyrocket in value once the movie comes out?
-
Couldn't agree more with all the comments here!! Genuinely nice and very pleasant to deal with. Big KUDOS to Sharon
-
Scrooge that is one heck of a reference library
-
Big KUDOS to Scrooge for a real smooth transaction. Enjoy those pre-code coverless reads.
-
+1. KUDOS to Snake Eyes for a great transaction
-
Big KUDOS back to Telerites (Jeff) for a great transaction. Thanks.

+ 1 Would love to see those Tecs and Actions reprinted cover to cover
-
Are you sure?? I don't believe the pre-Bats Tecs have been reprinted except IIRC 'Tec 1 in a Millenium edition one shot and even then I am not 100% of that.
The entire Tec 1 was definately reprinted in the Millenium edition
-
Maybe Rick was thinking of the pre-Robin Batman tec stories. Those are in the DC Archives of course
-
Just posted some coverless pre-code horror in the marketplace section. ECs, Mister Mysteries, Eerie, etc are all represented. Great stories you always wanted to read at decent prices.
-
Kudos also to nochips for a good deal.
And kudos to the following folks for nice transactions:

--Foolkiller

Also would like to extend a big thanks to drbanner for setting me up with the sweetest BA book I now own--a fetching ASM #129.
And to Pitboss who sent a slab to me in a Priority Mail box that, in transit, got absolutely punctured. I was a bit worried as this was a sweet Bats #227 SS...but the Pitboss packed the slab INSIDE of the box in such a way to where it remained unscathed. :hail:
Kudos right back atcha. Great transaction. Thanks Scott.

Thanks Sharon. A BIG KUDOS to you too. Great transaction!!!

If my memory is correct, a boardie found one recently for another boardie.
Yes that was me finding the .5 that Ben (swapto) now has. And I found Ian's for him. One more from the source that Ian's came from was auctioned soon after he got his years ago. So I am aware of 4 that became available since Ian publicized his quest plus yours. When did you get your copy?
-
did you buy it from me at mega conOh I don't doubt it for one minute! I'm sure there are many incredibly tough oddball books. Just not the typical book you would see in a group shot with Action 1-10 !
That photo, taken in 2005 when I completed the collection, pictures both the most valuable DCs and the rarest and scarcest DCs.
Of course a Happy Tooth dentist promotional comic looks odd on the same photo as Action 1, but if you have enough money to spare, you can fairly easily buy an Action 1 or a Detective 27, if you were as rich as Simon Cowell and didn't care what you spent, someone would sell you one tomorrow.
But you try and find a Happy Tooth, A Superman/Bradman, or a Twisted Metal for ANY price.
Or a Buzzy 70.
Hey Ian I just located another Buzzy 70 recently. That is only the third copy I'm aware of since I spotted the one you have
No Rick...I got it off of the Bay within the past month...so that brings the count to four that I'm aware of (thumbs u

I just purchased a box containing various issues from an overseas auction so I might be able to ID it for you once I get them in-hand. As to value - not sure what a centerfold by iteself would bring but a lot of 14 issues sold this summer at Compal for $772 including the buyers premium.
