  1. Thank you Mods. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9523689&gonew=1#UNREAD
  2. There were actually 2 coverless copies aucitoned off by ComiClink. The Jerry Robinson copy and the other one that is currently listed on ebay. The brittle ebay copy had a BIN of 33K and has been listed for close to a year. What to do about it not selling ? Jack up the BIN to 45K.
  3. complete ? don't recall so. coverless missing cf yes.
  4. This year. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/detective-comics-27-dc-1939-cbcs-restored-vg-45-extensive-amateur-off-white-pages/a/7124-91043.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Last year. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/detective-comics-27-dc-1939-cgc-apparent-vf-75-extensive-a-5-off-white-pages/a/7104-92029.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515 Been a while for a blue label. Although there were private sales.
  5. I just checked the census minutes ago. No 9.6 SS https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?title=Amazing+Fantasy&publisher=Marvel+Comics&issue=15&year=1962&issuedate=8%2F62
  6. Is this a new record high? Who cares right ? According to you it's an over-graded copy. Hopefully it won't get reported to GPA.
  7. The 7.5 sold at full asking price. https://www.pedigreecomics.com/detail.php?issue_id=55854
  8. a ways from the Conserved 8.0 of their last auction
  9. I love the broody, on the edge, comic-noir aspect of Batman. Add Robin to the mix and I can't get past the campness of the 1966 TV series in my mind. Robin really brings nothing to the party IMO. Just could never accept or buy into that character. Different Robin in 41.
  10. Wonder if the 9.4 HA copy went to Mr Billionaire collector who just wanted a high grade copy. Metro was looking for a copy in that specific grade and most likely won the auction if it was the case.
  11. Thanks. Too lazy last night to go month by month so I went for Jan-Aug.
  12. Sounds about right. Hell no it doesn't. More like $800-$900K. Maybe even a little more. Yeah I think that would soar to well over a million bucks. You do know that the others sold for WAY LESS than the 1.1M paid for the first 9.6 ? Now there's a #4.
  13. That would be foolish on the part of its owner. Would be...and bad ethics...but than again the owner got the upgrade. Maybe he just hasn't gotten around to it. I still like to think of a fresh 9.6 to market.
  14. yea I had a well presenting 4.5 in an old label that I CPR'd a few times.... j/k I wonder if this is a new copy, upgrade, or an attempt of a 9.6 to a 9.8. Did you check CGCdata to see if there was a delta in the 9.2/9.4 grades since the beginning of this year ? From memory, I don't recall seeing a new 9.2. Not positive, but all speculation...until further proof. http://cgcdata.com/cgc/search/title/:Amazing:Fantasy:/issue/15/label/all/census/160816/censusprior/160105/ To me fresh. The 9.0 must have made it to 9.2. Don't see 9.0 -> 9.6 but you never know.

  17. ComicLink auction is shaping up to be killer ! 3 terrrific looking pre-Robin bats covers, Tec 69, high grade early Tecs, high grade Joker cover
  18. I disagree. Based on what I've seen over the years, it's right in the 7.0/7.5 pocket. I just saw another book that didn't look nearly as nice as this copy with a CGC 7.5 grade and it was in an old 1st generation label holder. People are quick to judge a book by a scan but I don't think many people are very good at grading from a scan. You can guess but you don't have the book in hand to make the call.
