  1. Very early Wolverine comics, his 1st ongoing series!  Features a new costume for Wolverine and a Wolvie vs. Mobius the Vampire story! Beautiful razor sharp and tight copies, (Satisfaction Guaranteed!)  I will call dead solid NM, but these are the kinds of books I would send in expecting/hoping for 9.6 or better on a good day!  Bagged in glossy mylite bags and boarded, bar code sticker is on the outside of the bag of course.  ONLY $25 Shipped for the whole lot and that's approaching 1/2 price of the lowly NM- 9.2 guide with FREE USA SHIPPING!   Long time seller/collector, message me if you want my kudos page.

  2. :news:   I just marked down the prices another 5-10%, along with FREE SHIPPING, some great prices on some early Keys!   is easiest, but you can save 3% if you want to pay with money order.

Standard :takeit:policies apply.  FREE Shipping to USA, actual shipping costs to Canada.   Paypal easier, money orders fine also to save the 3% fees if desired.

Justice League #1 Very Nicely Professionally Restored, borderline Mod/Ext to be safe, but I would like to think more mod than ext, color touch, pieces replaced.  Check scans, looks Beautiful, I will say app VF-, but judge for yourself with the scans.  $895 shipped. (May consider short time payments on this one to help someone out needing a little time to save up for their dream holy grail comic)

Avengers #5, (2nd Captain America after AV #4?) VF- range unrestored.  Pages and back cover just as nice as front, very attractive, nice color/gloss, lays flat, tight staples and very nice spine, very tiny upper corner bend just breaking color or I would be tempted to go VF+ on this beauty.  SOLD

Tales to Astonish #44 Origin & 1st Wasp  Fr/Gd 1.5 range.  We know the Ant Man movie next year focuses a lot on the Wasp and her Origin etc.  This is a complete but beat entry level copy to fill your collection hole at a reasonable price!  SOLD   Cover has edge and spine chips/pieces out, some staining, cover loose, but pages complete and cover mostly complete looks like most low grade copies in that grade range IMO.

Teen Titans #2 1966  Add #2 to your #1 for a great price.  Looks nice, mid to upper fine range I would say, standard edge wear for grade, otherwise well attached, flat, tight for mid range copy.  $27 shipped

Fantastic Four #53 2nd Black Panther, his 1st Origin.   Affordable Lower range copy, probably Gd/VG 3.0, but maybe a really nice 2.5.   On the good side, fully attached, no missing pieces, no marvel chipping, decent page quality etc, mostly just heavy reading/spine wear and minor tear expected for grade.  $35 shipped.

Pep Comics #3 1940 3rd Appearance of Shield 1st Ever Patriotic Superhero in comics.  Coverless, but it looks like these pages are in pretty decent shape, especially for a 1940 book!  Great reading copy or amazing deal if you have a nice #3 that's missing pages for a resto project etc.  SOLD!

Satisfaction Guarantee for any reason except change of heart/blowing your budget on other auctions etc. :)

  3. :baiting: Last Bump, these Scarce early G.A. books are Rarely Offered and priced fairly well.  If you have a reasonable offer let me know by tomorrow before I take these down to salt away another 15 years or perhaps give a chance to an alternate site.  Thanks for looking!

  4. The last restored More Fun #75 to sell was a Moderately restored VG 4.0 in 2016 for $618.  Wasn't that pre Aquaman movie announcement era?   Compared to a lowly VG, it seems like $975 for a very attractive and glossy/bright color VF post movie announcement is a pretty good deal???  :baiting:     Price LOWERED to $925 SHIPPED to get this sold! 3% discount for money order vs. paypal and save you even more!!!

Wonder Woman lowered to $325 Shipped! (Less than 1/2 the $704 unrestored VF guide)

  5. LAST CHANCE, PRICES LOWERED! Early Golden Age Treasures, looking for good home!  1st :takeit: by time stamp wins.  Paypal or Money Order both accepted.   I have owned these puppies a looooong time, OLD LABEL GOODNESS (And STRICT GRADING!)  1942 More Fun #75 3rd Ever Aquaman, Origin of Spectre (JUST LOWERED!) $925 FREE SHIPPING, received VF 8.0 mod(p), Wonder Woman #23 featuring a story on WW's childhood! extremely slight work with just a slight(a)  JUST LOWERED TO $325, FREE SHIPPING!  IMO, both have more in common with 9.0 in appearance, at least with just the slightest of additional work needed.  Tiny CT needed at upper spine split of WW, tiny CT, perhaps a slightly better press done for a super tiny spine reading tick, and dot more of CT needed on More Fun #75 to make both of these just about perfect in appearance (the main reason I bought these beauties forever ago).

I have also sold big books here more recently, Hulk 181 8.0 etc. but stopped bugging people to leave feedback as the historical data and my time here should speak for itself.

They definitely do give "A"s to books they did not do the work on. Example :

LOL,  I bet I could put a micro dot or two of acrylic paint on a spot and have CGC call it "A" professional.  Show me a an A level restoration quality book (not restored by CGC) that was moderately or extensively restored, pieces replaced, reinforced, real amount of color touch etc.   Probably exists somewhere, but it's got to be something like 1 in 1,000 of all profesionally restored books (not done by CGC right then and there for a significant profit).   Even Matt Nelson himself could not get the A designation on my book he restored for me several years ago and it was fairly light/moderate work and perfectly done, takes a black light to even detect it!   I would be much happier if they avoided this problem/conflict of interest and went back to the old system, either Amature or Professional based on the quality of materials used (reversable), unless really poorly done.   I will cross my fingers for logic and fairness to win out, but won't hold my breath. :)

  7. I have heard many stories of PGX books graded 9.4 etc being broken out and sent into CGC and actually coming back with a higher grade 9/6/9.8 etc.   HOWEVER, Lower/mid and mid upper books (especially older books/not modern etc) almost always come back significantly lower after breaking out and being sent to CGC, so that is where you need to be especially careful buying a pgx book.   Broken record, but no matter which of the 3 companies are grading the book, examine the books defects closely yourself and pay what YOU think the book deserves, not a figure based on a designated number at the top of a label that can be extremely subjective and change, even if the exact same book is sent over and over to the same grading company.  Remember, you are Buying the Book, not a label designation!   As for grading mistakes, it happens with all grading companies albeit far more often with PGX than CGC (you get what you pay for!).   Over the years, I have broken out several CGC books only to find out major defects were never disclosed on the label.  The entire spine being taped on the inside not even mentioned on a GL #2 GD+ 2.5 (just barely happened) that I thought looked pretty nice otherwise and was shocked to find out was not disclosed, blue label JIM 83 in Gd no label qualification that was missing a huge chunk on an interior page that even went into the story (this was many years ago), so no company is perfect by any means, but at least CGC is far more likely to get it right than PGX, especially resto detection etc.  I would still take a PGX scanned book over a raw book from an unknown seller on ebay any day, they did catch some trimming and other minor resto in a large lot of ebay books I purchased and was unaware of, so they are pretty decent for the price, just lack the level of quality control you get with the other two companies which are much better, but are not always perfect either. :)
