My take on why Y is successful: Each male I know has had the fantasy of being the last man on Earth at one point in their life. BKV took the fantasy and applied realism & logic to it. It causes you to rethink the fantasy that you originally wanted. Along the way you self-identify with Yorick and thus 'feel' his pain & sorrow.

Unfortunately, someone else has first rights to refusal if I ever have the need to sell. I will put you down as second.

I would like to respond, but I need more clarification. I was always under the assumption that Vertigo did share creator rights / allowed 'more' freedom (not as much as Image) and that it was Brian & Pia that had sold the entertainment rights.

I like to think about the possibility that Brian, Pia & Jose could get together again and do another arc. (ala Sandman: Overture) Either after the ending of #60 or expanding upon ideas / scenes within #60. Re: best endings - I agree with Jeff, Six Feet Under still 'gets' me every time.

#6 was good. There was one fight scene I would have liked to seen but I can draw my own conclusions on how it all went down.

Looks like Emi Lenox will provide support to Nate as they are both credited on the upcoming issues. Perhaps backgrounds + objects? Similar to Mike Norton's assists on Young Avengers? (which he should get more credit for) I do not see her taking over completely as her style is different than Nate's.
