  1. I hope the series ends with #100. In issue #95, Rick is bitten by Carl. He has time to leave the city with Carl. He turns in issue #97. We get 3 issues of life on the other side, as a zombie. In issue #100 he is killed by someone we have never seen before. Volume 2 begins with that someone killing Rick.
  2. It may look empty, but it sure is sexy. I recently completed this display case to house my future collectibles. (Eaglemoss figures, statues and key issues...) It was assembled from various Ikea options to make exactly what I wanted. I am going to begin designing it's brother (a matching filing cabinet) to house my comics.
  3. Way back in the letter hacks of issue #7 he mentions wanting to do the book forever and then having someone taking over after he passes, but in the same passage he admits this wouldn't be possible and admits a more realistic number would be 75. It is in these same letter hacks that the 'alien' joke for issue #75 began. I think his intention as a writer (before joining Image as a partner and creating a multi-media experience with The Walking Dead 'brand') was to be done with the series by now. I'd like to pick his brain about this...
  4. I have decided that WD has become too 'LOST'-like, in that it has reached the point that has begun to have too much multi-media saturation (books, board games, video games, the TV show, action figures) and with it comes a responsibility to those distributors for a return on their investments. Thus making the issues that used to be tight and quick (back when Kirkman thought 50 or 75 issues would be the run) more meandering to draw out the length of the series. Like 'LOST', I think Kirkman needs to announce an end date/issue number and work toward it. Also, while I did buy the latest variants (U.S. and British), there really are too many recently. For the last 10 issues (76-85) there have been 5 variants. I believe that matches the number of variants from issues 1-75. (2nd prints do not count as variants)
  5. Speaking of variants... Warp 9 has just put some up on eBay.
  6. I've held off on posting anything in here because I've never found an issue that I was 'worthy' of posting...until now. My LCS put this on the wall yesterday and I thought about it overnight and picked it up today. I've wanted this book for a while, but never found one that was 'affordable'. It's got good company in these two that I got off of eBay late last year.
  7. Thank you. I didn't know about it before, but I just grabbed one of the last 89 (now 88) single issues available for sale. For those in the States the total was $29 shipped. Walking Dead Variants are like Pokemon...You gotta catch 'em all!
  8. Does anyone know how many of the ComicsPro variant of #81 were printed? A seller on eBay has stated that it was only 150.
  9. Not sure if it happens earlier, but just tonight I was rereading issue 15 and Rick refers to Chris and Julie as zombies when lying and saying they both shot each other and came back to life even though they weren't bitten.
  10. I just picked one up at my LCS for $30. A lot are hitting eBay now so I expect the price to settle around there. I used both what the RI and Ultimate Comics variant of #75 can be purchased for as my basis if this was a fair deal.
  11. Just got this in the mail from Ethan Nicolle of Axe Cop fame. (There is a surprise cameo...) http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=710002&GSub=107873
