  1. So, for this first entry I am going to list #100 - #51. Any movies (that I hadn't seen before) that stood out to me will be in BOLD with a larger font and highlighted. If you've seen any of these, please feel free to comment and discuss. #100 - Once Upon A Time In The West (seen before) #99 - A Man Escaped #98 - The General #97 - Black Girl #96 - Tropical Malady #95 - Get Out (seen before) #94 - Parasite (seen before) #93 - Yi Yi #92 - Ugetsu Monogatari #91 - The Leopard #90 - Madame de... #89 - The Shining (seen before) #88 - Chungking Express #87 - Blue Velvet (seen before) #86 - The Spirit of the Beehive #85 - Pierrot le fou #84 - Histoire(s) du Cinema #83 - A Matter of Life and Death #82 - Modern Times #81 - Sunset Blvd, #80 - Celine and Julie Go Boating #79 - A Brighter Summer Day #78 - Satantango #77 - Spirited Away (seen before) #76 - Sansho the Bailiff #75 - Imitation of Life #74 - L'avventura #73 - Journey to Italy #72 - My Neighbor Totoro (seen before) #71 - The Red Shoes #70 - Metropolis (seen before) #69 - Andrei Rublev #68 - La Jetee #67 - The Gleaners and I #66 - Touki Bouki #65 - The Third Man #64 - Goodfellas (seen before) #63 - Casablanca (seen before) #62 - Daughters of the Dust #61 - La Dolce Vita #60 - Moonlight (seen before) #59 - Sans Soleil #58 - The Apartment (seen before) #57 - Sherlock Jr. #56 - Le Mepris #55 - Battleship Potemkin #54 - Blade Runner (seen before) #53 - News From Home #52 - Ali: Fear Eats the Soul #51 - The Piano
  2. Great question. I've posted before asking the same question as I have CIS and they direct you to get an estimate from Metropolis Comics; who never responds. It is...frustrating...to say the least.
  3. I've always considered myself a 'film' fan. Perhaps not to the extent of being a cinephile, but as an introvert I always found movies an easy conversational gateway. (I was never into sports...an easy conversational gateway I've noticed many possess) That being said, I had been waiting to broaden my film knowledge outside of my comfort zone. I've spent since the beginning of 2023 until now chipping away at the movies on the list. Even if I had seen a movie previously I watched it again. https://www.bfi.org.uk/sight-and-sound/greatest-films-all-time#rank-95 This past weekend I watched #51 - The Piano and will soon begin the bottom half of the top 100.
  4. Since early 2023, I have been making my way through the Top 100 films as presented by the 2022 BFI: Sight & Sound poll. https://www.bfi.org.uk/sight-and-sound/greatest-films-all-time I've recently watched #51 (The Piano) and am now down to the Top 50 films. After I complete the Top 50 my plan is to watch any movies featured in Director's Poll Top 100 that are not in the overall Top 100.
  5. I'm torn on this show. Currently, it isn't as engaging as Mando S1 or Andor. Each episode I've tried to pinpoint positives such as: cool fighting styles, different aliens, high republic gold lightsaber, and golden clothing. Then I realize that's through my fandom lenses. If this wasn't a SW show...I would have called it quits after episode two. There is already so much media that I am already an active fan coming out this month that this show would get pushed aside until August IF it wasn't SW. (House of the Dragon S2, The Boys S4, and The Bear S3) So, in honesty I'd saw a solid 5...as I could easily walk away from it...if it wasn't SW.
  6. another addition to my personal collection. lone copy in the census. strictly for the Scott Pilgrim completists. purchased many moons ago via a site that google translate had to make work for me to understand it. glad it arrived as well packed as it did after the voyage overseas.
  7. These new labels suck. Why does CGC not think about the Marvel media coming out in 2024? Deadpool should have got a new label this year to tie into Deadpool v Wolverine. Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange to tie into Agatha. 'Beyond the Spider-Verse' has been delayed indefinitely. X-Men '97 Season 2 is next year. No Thor movie is on the horizon. And the Alex Ross labels are 'too busy'.
  8. Yep. In total I own the covers to #1 - #6 plus the Larry’s variant cover to #1 which connects to the original #1 cover.
  9. They did. I remember all that drama from back when the Revival thread was active. Might have been $4k…? I’m not really interested in selling the cover to #1, but I’d definitely sell some of the others cover art. I see the sketch variants are selling well on eBay right now… Might list one of the dual signed copies and see what happens.
  10. Yes, it is. I think I bought it like a week before the book dropped. Timeline is fuzzy. edit: Went after the covers since Mike Norton informed me there is no original art for the series since it was drawn digitally.
  11. Presumed these books would be with me until the end due to the prior media situation. Pragmatically, some of these will find new homes closer to release. I'll probably part with some of the original cover art as well, but the cover art to #1 will remain locked away... https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?artist=Jenny+Frison&GCat=45320
