  1. I just got back from the movie. I REALLY wanted this to be good, but Ugh, I really didn't like it very much. Bad writing. So so acting. WAAAAY too many battles. Way too long. I've been hearing a lot of praise and the box office numbers are huge so I had my hopes up, but for me.... 2.5 out of 5. I honestly can't recommend this movie.
  2. I've got a bunch of Silver Keys on ebay right now. Amazing Fantasy 15 raw low grade (missing cf) https://www.ebay.com/itm/401677794582 Amazing Spiderman 1 CGC 2.0 (restored) https://www.ebay.com/itm/163462408100 Fantastic Four 1 CGC 4.5 (restored) https://www.ebay.com/itm/401677143441 Captain Marvel 1 (1968) CGC 9.4 https://www.ebay.com/itm/163465878046 Justice League 1 CGC 4.5 https://www.ebay.com/itm/401678522510
  3. Just added Captain Marvel 1 CGC 9.4 https://www.ebay.com/itm/163465878046 Justice League 1 CGC 4.5 https://www.ebay.com/itm/401678522510
  4. On ebay I'm selling: A low grade AF15 on ebay with a low starting price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/401677794582 A low grade ASM 1 https://www.ebay.com/itm/163462408100 And a 4.5 restored FF1 https://www.ebay.com/itm/401677143441
  5. It happened to me. I bought an early "unrestored" DD comic graded by PGX and decided to crack it open. There was a clipped coupon!!!!! Always suspect the worst when buying a PGX.
  6. I too will heap a ton of praise on Susan's work. She did a great job (looks better than 5.5). I also agree that I would have left the book "as is". I think 1.5 or lower grades are a good rule of thumb for major resto. I think this might have been a 2.0-2.5 raw. However.... it's not my book. The OP obviously wanted a nicer looking Af15 so he had a top pro work on it. And getting Stan to sign it is cool. Congrats to the OP.
  7. Cover detached. 3 center wraps are detached, and from another copy of the comic. I could fully attach them, but I'm not sure I want to poke new holes in the wraps. There looks to be some water issues, but the pages are actually very nice, supple with NO waving. They feel like normal supple pages. NO tape, NO color touch, No resto
  8. Amazing Fantasy 15 - Low low low grade. No CF Missing top of cover. STAN LEE sig. The sig looks real, but I can't verify it. The insides have 2 sets of staples. Both sets look original to me so maybe it was a double strike on the staples. Cover is detached and from another copy. Cover has some minimal tape repairs (all thin slivers of tape). There might be some red color touch on spidey, but I don't see any other color touch. Interior pages are supple and in pretty good shape. $4899 shipped $4799 shipped
  9. Normal Rules No HOS or Probies US Destinations only I pay for USPS Registered Priority Paypal or MO ok 1st in the thread wins it. Returns ok within 2 weeks. You pay shipping if returned.
  10. Was this sale for real? Looks like about a 2.5 raw. But there's no description. $7200 and then I looked at the shipping charges $3800 Still, if it was legit $11,000 would have been a great price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Fantasy-15-September-1962-see-Notes-Marvel/264095260085?epid=85393914&hash=item3d7d4dddb5:g:bwkAAOSwgbdcGp0G
  11. I think you should see if that glue/tape can be removed. I think there's a chance the future of this comic could be a 2.5-3.0 blue (with a detached cover).
  12. Umm..... I don't know. The 1st time I watched the trailer I didn't like it. It's like he couldn't move his face with all the prosthetics, and the "hand" just seemed like styrofoam. Overall, I feel a little worried right now. I'm a big Hellboy fan so I want this movie to hit a homerun.
  13. This thread is a prime example of why you need to post both the front cover and the back cover in a "Buddy can you spare a grade" thread. Notice how everyone ammended their grades once the back cover pic was added.
  14. It's always good to get one of the pros opinions at the very least. Resto removal for this comic might be pricey and the grade will go WAAAAY down. Because it has extensive resto, I wouldn't have resto removal done (although that upper left corner looks pretty bad). Maybe a resto "re-do"? Or perhaps go the other route and have a tiny bit more color touch done to it. By the Human Torch's head and the letter "S". A little more color touch would probably raise the grade half a grade and wouldn't cost much.
  15. I haven't used OPG for valuing comics in years, but it still has lots of good info (as do these boards). I try to grab a used one every couple of years.
  16. I'm now in the 1.5 range too after seeing the back cover. I'm glad your front cover presents ok.
  17. Should have bought 10 in 2007. 1.8s were around $1k back then. Of the major marvel key issues I've got nice mid to high grade of all of them except FF1. I only have a 3.0. I had a 5.0 and let it go about 10 years ago. Bad bad bad.
  18. In the 1.8-2.0 range you're looking at $4500 to about $7000 depending on the grade. Your welcome.
  19. Welcome to the boards Theycallmearchie (and welcome to the club). What a great 1st post to make. That's a gorgeous copy, and yes... even low grade copies of 50 are going for a lot of money. I'd say yours is at least a 4.0 if everything is complete & attached with a similar back cover.
