  1. Hi-School Romance 1, 6, & 10 Harvey Pub from 1949/1950 1 = CGC 5.0 (LT to OW) 6 = CGC 9.0 (CR to OW) (cover looks to be in the 9.4 range, so they must have marked it down because of the page quality, although I handled this comic and can assure you it is supple) 10 = CGC 8.5 (LT to OW) (cover looks to be in the 9.2 range, so they must have marked it down because of the page quality, although I handled this comic and can assure you it is supple) $250 $189 $176 for the set
  2. Normal rules apply No HOS or Probies US destinations only Winner pays USPS $9.99 priority shipping on slabs and $5 shipping on raw comics. Paypal or MO fine. 1st in the thread wins it. Returns are ok within 14 days (you pay the return shipping)
  3. The people in line are people who love Stan. Anyone with a sense of humanity standing in that line should step up and say something to the organizers or handlers. That video looked bad to me.... am I over reacting or seeing something that's not really there?
  4. I am VERY disturbed at what I am seeing in this thread right now. Please, let's stop the signatures and simply honor the man. It's become a circus sideshow now. Perhaps, Marvel movies should consider the same thing with the Stan appearances. Let the man rest. Perhaps opt for a CG appearance of Stan
  5. YES! And it's not a rag! it's actually quite nice. It was listed on ebay in an auction for $12k if I remember right. It cycled thru as an auction about 3 or 4 times and no one was jumping at it. I contacted him and asked if he'd take $5k for it and he said if I would come up to $5500 he'd sell it to me. It's gorgeous.
  6. Just TRY to find a back cover for a Supes 1. Very tough! Stupid "Pin-up cut-outs".
  7. Oh man, that's bad. I remember a Strange Tales 110 that had an upside down sig too.
  8. WOW, I'm shocked it went so high especially since it is a mounted copy and ONLY a front cover. Some of these are a few years old but for comparison..... Cap1 front cover only = $5000 in late 2015 Archie 1 full cover = $3000 in late 2014 AS8 front cover only = $4000 in late 2016 Batman 1 front cover only = $3000 in late 2014 Batman back cover only (trimmed) = $3700 in late 2015 Sensation 1 front cover only = $3600 in mid 2016 I bought my Superman front cover for $5500 2 to 3 years ago. I got my Superman back cover last October by trading about $13,000 worth of comics.
  9. In the meantime, I've picked these up over the last few years. Namor is a cool character. I'm pretty sure they'll omit his wings though if he makes it to the silver screen. Got a pretty good price on all of these, but it's tough to find any good prices any more. I need a CF on that Subby 1..... anyone have one for me?
  10. Yes, that's the one! Someone made a quick & tidy profit in about a month's time.
  11. It's unfortunately mounted onto some card stock.
  12. Try this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1941-TIMELY-GOLDEN-AGE-CAPTAIN-AMERICA-COMICS-1-FRONT-COVER-ROGER-BRAND/263578220023?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D50426%26meid%3D0d6ee2f177dc4ad7b4ee99558064a8d3%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D292488935475%26itm%3D263578220023&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A435bb71c-34e1-11e8-bd98-74dbd1806883|parentrq%3A7c1686011620a991c19ed4a9fff9be3b|iid%3A1
  13. Is the $100k before or after taxes? That'll make a big difference in what you can buy.
  14. It has a lesser page quality, but I don't care. Beggars can't always be choosers on CFs. At least the CF is complete with no giant rips or anything like that.
  15. This is what happened to me 4 or 5 years back. I needed a Cap 1 CF, had searched for 5 years with no luck to find one, but then a horrendously bad coverless copy of it came up on CC or CL. All the wraps were split at the spine except the CF, and at least 6 pages had panels cut out. In my mind I figured $4000 would be enough to win it (remember, prices were lower back then), but I got into a bidding war with someone else and I ended up shelling out $8000 for it. I figured it might be my last time to realistically have a shot at getting the Cap 1 CF so I went all in. I am SOOOO happy I did.
  16. Here's the link. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=cgc&_sop=12&_ssn=gadzukes&_osacat=0&_ipg=50&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xcgc+-cbcs.TRS0&_nkw=cgc+-cbcs&_sacat=0
  17. I'm going to be listing a bunch of CGC slabs on ebay. Check them out.
  18. I think the label on the top one should have Stan's sig over his face.
  19. That Spidey 61 doesn't look like a real Stan sig to me.
  20. Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I usually check in about once a week on this thread and go right to the most current comments. This next weekend will be when BP catches Avengers (and passes SW:LJ) so I'll probably check in a few extra times to read comments.
  21. I think we humans enjoy seeing records broken, whether it's an athletic record, or a record price for a comic book, or a movie box office record. Everyone knew the first Avengers movie was going to do really well at the box office, but Black Panther (and to a slightly lesser degree Wonder Woman) came out and SO exceeded expectations that I really cheer for it's success. Part of me knows it's just the industry getting rich, but another part of me is rooting for the movie to just keep breaking records. Black Panther has always been a "B" list character in the Marvel Universe. NO MORE! BP will now be "A" list all the way.
