  1. I'm not really a "Double Cover" collector, but when I saw this Action 44 Double cover I couldn't resist. Early Action War cover, and it's a Double.... you don't see that every day. I wish the outer cover presented better, but at least the inner cover is a 4.5 (outer cover listed as a 2.5)
  2. I remember that pasted cover on ebay. I wouldn't have had the cajones to buy that one. I assumed it couldn't be saved. So I tip my hat to you! What will a coverless copy set you back these days? $10k $12k? I seem to remember there's another Timely that has the same back cover. I think it's Mystic #5, so keep your eye out for that one to get your back cover (double check with someone who has a raw copy and can check it).
  3. I've always felt I had the nicest looking 4.0, but this one is amazing. Resub candidate?
  4. Sparkle City 6.5 just went for $175,200. Pretty, but it was not a true Blue (had ct and glue on cover)
  5. As close as it is to hitting the 700mil milestone... BP is not going to hit it unless it gets put back into more theaters. It looks to me like AIW will not catch BP in Domestic box office. That's insane. Way to go BP, well done. You win 1st place in the MCU domestic universe.
  6. Oh yeah..... I would never pay more than 70% of a cent issue and that would only be for a major Key issue. I only own 1 Pence copy right now (and it's a good one), but I think the market for pence copies is going to explode so I like the idea of picking up some issues.
  7. I actually like Pence variants so that would be cool.
  8. B & Vs faces look to be drawn "longer", with longer necks in the updated versions. I think they are much cuter in the earlier versions.
  9. Picked up a few MLJ recently. Most of them are actually fairly nice. Except for the fade this Archie 57 seems to be in a higher grade. The 32 is really nice too. These 2 are lower grade but I still like em. A couple of reallly nice Wilburs
  10. Picked this GGA Atlas up a couple weeks ago. I hadn't even heard of this title. I might have to find the other two in the series now. Della would make a nice Black Canary.
  11. PEP 79 cover > Laugh 120 cover. In fact all of the original covers > repeat covers.
  12. Betty is less curvy too. Was that the trend in that time period?.... making them less sexy?
  13. Or..... I need to grow the group? Those 3 raw copies are really low grade. I'd like to get an 8.0 before they're unattainable.
  14. I'm taking a 10 day trip to Ireland this Summer with the wife. We're mostly looping through the southern half of the Island. Any good comic shops? I'd love to find some silver age while I'm there, is that possible?
  15. They need to adjust the color on those photos. It's not natural at all, the color looks manipulated.
  16. "Clipping" is a 15 yard penalty assessed from the previous line of scrimmage.
  17. Classic. I love the dot pattern. Looks like a Lichtenstein.
  18. Is that an Archie Shower curtain in the back?
