  1. SOLD Vault of Horror 19 - raw - 4.5-5.0 Qualified (nothing has been married, but the entire comic has been restapled with the staples in a different location) The comic was originally stapled with the staples skewed WAY onto the front cover. I think an original owner found it too hard to read and changed the location so the comic would open better. 1/4" split at top of spine. Edge of the CF is a little worn. CF has some black marks at the top of the spine area.... I'm not sure what that is. $67 shipped
  2. SOLD: Vault of Horror 15 - raw - 2.0-2.5 Cover and CF are snug at the staples Some small tears around the staples. The small 1/4" tear you see at the middle of the spine goes thru all the pages. 1/2" tear at bottom of the back cover on the free edge $70 shipped
  3. SOLD Vault of Horror 24 - raw - 1.5-1.8 Cover is just barely attached at the staples CF is snug. 2" tear on free edge 3" tear on back cover at the bottom going thru the coupon Interior pages are pretty nice $40 shipped
  4. SOLD Vault of Horror 21 - raw - 1.0-1.5 1st 2 pages have old tape. cover in snug at staples CF is starting to detach at bottom staple $27 shipped
  5. SOLD Vault of Horror 23 - raw - 1.5 The extreme lower edge has some brittleness, otherwise the comic handles well. The cover actually presents really well except for the bottom. Cover and CF are solid at the staples. 1" tear in the monsters arm on the free edge. $33 shipped
  6. Crime Suspenstories 20 - raw - 1.8 Cover and CF are snug at the staples. Basically some creasing and general wear are what brings the grade down on this. There are no other major flaws. Interior is nice. $199 $185 shipped
  7. Crime Suspenstories 24 - raw - 5.0 Cover and CF are snug. 1/4" spine split at top. 2 small tears on top edge. 1 small tear at top of back cover. Interior pages are nice. $199 $185 shipped
  8. Crime Suspenstories 27 - raw - 1.8 Qualified (missing 1 page...half the CF) Cover and what's left of the CF are attached well. Interior pages are really nice $50 $45 shipped

  12. This Young Allies is in fairly nice shape, except the cover had pulled thru at the one staple. The tiny staple tear was sealed with a tiny piece of archival tape and the cover reattached. The piece of tape is literally 1/8" by 1/2". Will this get a Purple or a Conserved label? I figure one of you guys knows the answer.
  13. Both are great choices so pick them both up, but if you can only pick 1..... If you're purchasing for: Importance: Take Avengers 4 Investment: Take FF 4 AV4 has basically doubled in value in the last decade in most grades due to Caps prominence in the movies. FF4 has ALSO basically doubled in value in the last decade without ANY help from movie appearances. This means FF4 still has an amazing amount of room to grow in value once a movie is confirmed and his character becomes more prominent. I purchased 1 copy of AV4 in the last year. I purchased 5 copies of FF4 in the last year. That shows you where I stand on the OP's question. Both comics are WIN/WIN but FF4 gets my vote.
  14. It almost looks like it's printed with the "stain". Very bizarre.
  15. Authentic Police Cases 16 - raw - 4.5 Cover & CF Solid at the staples. Worst flaw is a tiny piece missing at the top of the back cover at the spine. Page quality is nice When you look at the inside cover and the back cover it looks in the photos like there's a water stain, but I think it's just a aging paper or foxing or something because there are no other tell tale signs of water like loss of gloss or rippling. I've seen the same thing in other covers from the era, and it's not a water stain. $160 shipped

  17. This ended up going for $7680 With that restored corner the best I see this grading at is around what?.... a Purple 4.0? If they take the corner off to get a blue label that would make it about a 3.0 Blue. Why are they paying so much for this???????
  18. Nice press! The back cover still looks really dirty, was any dry erase done to it? Might sneak an extra 1/2 grade with a dry erase. I think 3.0-3.5 prepress, 4.5.... possibly 5.0 after press
