  1. Ok, so first I'd tell you that you can cancel the purchase but I'll be nominating you to the Probation list and then the Hall of Shame if you don't complete. Because you're on the probation list I won't sell you that book or anything else. But that's not what is being disputed here. What is being disputed here is that the item isn't a pre-order. You as the buyer agreed to enter into a contract with me to pay me for 1000 USD, and you already started to pay me that money. You have broken that contract. I'm not saying what happened to COMICKINGS was right. It was a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed move from the buyer, as he was pretty much dangling the carrot and the stick in front of him, essentially saying, you can get 80, or you can lose 100. What the buyer should have done, is asked, I can see that you are selling this item for 80, and I agreed to pre-order at 100. Are you ok to change the value to 80? If COMICKINGS said no, then the buyer, within his consumer rights (based on whatever country he's in), has the right to cancel those goods. Wouldn't be nice and if COMICKINGS wanted to, he could just place him on his blocked list. All I said, and what started this whole witch hunt was, I said I understood the buyers point of view. And my experience does come from LARGER retailers such as Amazon that actually do have Price Promise policies in place, and that they break if the loss to the product is too high, whether they admit it or not. Now I know we're not talking about larger retailers. We're talking about eBay and the boards, but to block me for something that I haven't done is absolute BS. I've been a member since 2010 on the boards, and on eBay even longer and I've never reneged on a deal. The only deal that I have ever reneged on was on a shill bid, I had evidence and that account got closed. So, based on that, do you still feel it's right for you to block me. You or anybody else based on my opinion?
  2. Since you didn't quote who this was directed to -- and since at least two people here have publicly stated that you're on their "do not deal with" list now. with another number of people having for all intents and purposes implied the same without necessarily stating it outright (all of whom, BTW, I believe I've dealt with in one fashion or another in transactions before that all went fantastic, and all of whom are top-notch people to deal with, so ... ) -- I'll answer this, in case it was directed to me. I'll quote myself, in case you didn't actually read it: In simpler terms, despite your own claim to a moral high horse with this quote which is slightly hypocritical considering your earlier slamming of people doing essentially the same thing you've clearly suggested that you WOULD break a contract for the right amount of money (your $1000/$1 example you've kept throwing out there). No one here is blocking you because you have an "opinion" differing from theirs. Again, you're using that as a red herring to shift attention from the real reason you might be blocked for doing business with individuals here. If they're blocking you, I'll guess it's for the reason I bolded in my quote above. They -- nor I -- want to deal with the hassle of a buyer -- or seller -- who may or may not follow through with a purchase to buy/sell depending on the financial incentive for them to break a contract of sale. This has absolutely nothing to do with expressing your opinion - but are simply the ramifications that result from what the results for those sellers/buyers would be if you follow through on actions derived from that opinion, which your own words suggest strongly you would do (despite protestations to the contrary) through the use of your "examples". Whatever. You are entitled to do it. So you've done it. You have your reasons. I don't agree with them because I didn't do anything wrong. But once again. Enjoy.
  3. Now this guy would be a cracking cable.
  4. Exactly! A buyer clicking the "buy it now" on Ebay does not mean, secure the product and renegotiate at a later date (only if the item goes down in price). If being butthurt over losing $10-$20,you shouldn't be in this hobby. The good thing for me is...he paid more than 45 days ago so he can't put in a claim against me with Paypal. He could leave me a negative (which looking at his "feedback left for sellers link",he is known to do) but hopefully Ebay would review the emails back and forth and see the guy was trying to reneg on the deal and wipe away the negative. Let me say the following to you. It sucks that it happened to you. All I said is I could see his point of view. Not that I agreed that he should go around stiffing people. Whoever wants to interpret it like that. so be it.
  5. Not sure if he has enough GRRRR
  6. And you are entitled to do so. However, you are blocking me based on my opinion and not actions. So have at it.
  7. Yeah. Or that can't see both sides of the story
  8. ohhhhh nobody answers cause it's a ridiculous scenario? Wow. Guess we know your answer. Give me your ebay as well then.
  9. Great. I answer your questions but you won't answer mine. Once again, so that everyone can hear it... You pre-order at 1000. No ifs or buts. The item drops to 1 before the item is launched. You can cancel and order at 1. Do you? No "Oh I'm so smart I know how to invest" Just yes. Or no. And they are free to add me. People that I buy from know that I've never reneged on a deal and I've always paid. So whatever.
  10. My point was that I understood the buyers point of view. And everybody got on their high horse saying that they'd never and have never done it. Sure.
  11. Nobody was talking about disneyland either were they? Ohh... sure...
  12. You keep wanting people to answer your "what if" questions. Why don't YOU try answering this "what if" question that's been asked (and ignored) several times already? Yes I would be mad. And I wouldn't buy it. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened. That's the risk you take as a seller correct? You lose a buyer for an item if you ask for too much. Once again has happened to me before with Amazon. Pre-ordered a game at £20 and they refused to sell it to me for that price. Final price for the game £54. So, yes I refused to buy it from them. Once again it's the risk. Opinions are like individual_without_enough_empathys. Everyone has one and they don't all smell nice.
  13. Buzzetta, block away. Rebelpk10 If having an opinion in a forum is such an issue for you then block. And I do realise we are talking about eBay, but you still didn't answer my question. All you said was you wouldn't pay 1 for a 1000 item. Great cop out. Tell me your eBay Id as well so I never have the misfortune of seeing your store. Edit: and I've never reneged on my deals. And I wasn't saying if I found a price lower somewhere else. I was saying at the same seller.
  14. Will there be any cgc ss facilitators?
  15. Ok, so then let's go onto theory again such I'm trying to twist. 1000 USD item now available at 1 USD? You'd still not cancel? Suuuuure.
  16. The guy sells also...so I looked at something he had for $17.99 with free shipping...another guy on Ebay had it for $11 after shipping..same condition...I asked him if I bought his and found it somewhere else (not 7 weeks later) would he send me a refund for the difference? I told him to look at it from my perspective. That was asking too much. Now i'm the worst dealer on Ebay. Whatever...blocked I'm not saying what he did was right. But and thos is for you too buzetta. You pre-order something off amazon. It's 200 USD. That's what you'll pay. The price drops to 50 before the item is launched. It's still pre order. Do you cancel your order or take a 150 USD hit? Answer honestly.
  17. I dunno. As a user if I pre ordered I'd be pretty miffed off if before the item was launched the price dropped. I have done the same to Amazon when they refuse to honour pricing deals.
  18. It is fair... If you can't pay for the book sooner why are you spending it elsewhere. Ps: that is a cracking book and I didn't already owe tons of money, that would be a great buy! Best of luck with the sale.
  19. I'll take 43 and 54 and one of the reader copies. You can pick out. I haven't read either yet so win win.
