Honest question for the veterans: how different is this place now from what it was years ago?

 

I feel like there was a veteran presence or some form of "tough love" even when I first joined. The old-timers used to keep noobs in line. Learn and respect this place or get out. Now it seems people are chastised and lambasted for speaking out publicly for doing that. Members from social media groups seem to be flocking here daily. They're not coming to discuss comics or learn from members who share their knowledge. They seem to be coming here solely because it's a fee free selling market and a place to buy and sell the latest Deadpool variant.

 

This place honestly just feels different over the last year or so and it seems to be getting worse with the passing of time.

One of the first signs you're getting old:

Akira is one of those films I could never understand why the majority of people like the film so much. I ask the question what do they like about the film the general answer is the motorcycle race and scenes with the motorcycle. I then asked what else they liked about the film and the general answer I get is not much really. I do not think the general person understands the plot

 

The truth is though the film to this day animation is some of the best I have ever seen, but at the same time a film that is so complex that you take something different away from it each time or notice something new. So I don't think the general person even understands the plot of the film or what is going on in the end.

I like it because the motorcycles go VROOOOMM and the telepathic monsters are all like RAAAWWRRR and the laser guns go PETWEWWW PETWEWWW

I asked "Ed" to send me an email confirming this. He found it comical that this was being questioned so much and giggled often.

My one takeaway from all of this?

This thread has become nothing but a bunch of people whining about the most simplest things.... day after day, i get email updates of whiners complaining about the most petty mishaps happening when dealing with buyers on ebay.....

 

someone lowballed you, someone sent a message without saying Hi, someone complained about your shipping, prices etc... It happens people, it's called Business, you just can't please everyone. it's just not possible. as far as it goes with people complaining about even Ebay and their reps siding with buyers an no longer helping the sellers. It is what it is. they can do as they please.

 

I have a solution though..... STOP SELLING ON EBAY.

 

Besides the pointless blacklist of people, that really has no relevance any longer, because people don't even remember why someone is listed on there. What happen to this thread being solely about a list of people whom tried to scam or rip off members on here?

 

This has become a let's just put someone's name on here because we don't like them or whatever the case may be.

 

Before someone tries to be cute and asks what's my ebay handle, it's already on the now defunct black list..... do any of you realize even if you do put someone's ebay handle on here, someone could easily make another account within 5 mins you all are aware of that right
