  1. Beautiful copy you have! A CGC 9.0 would be something to shoot for! John and Sean Lennon's birthday!! How can we forget that. True story....October 9, 1980, I got off my school bus in the Bronx, NY. I was 14 and a freshman in high school. I noticed some skywriting in the sky in Manhattan. It was Yoko Ono's birthday wishes to John and Sean! I will never forget it! I was married on October 9, 1993. On the way out to the Con, my wife told me to enjoy our anniversary with the two buddies I was attending with!! . No, really she was good about it! I can't miss the Con! I made sure I was back at a decent hour.
  2. Purchased from Super World Comics at the NY Comic Con on October 9th. A nice mid grade copy.
  3. I picked up these two FF books in separate auctions this week. FF # 32 on Comiconnect and FF 24 on ComicLink. Not a bad week at all! http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fitems%2Easp%3Fid%3D3906%26FROM%3D%26TO%3D%26pg%3D4&id=1028554
  4. Thank you and congratulations on your More Fun GA books, especially # 54!
  5. I recently re-purchased All Star # 35, 1947 . I love the cover artwork by William Hassen.
  6. Beautiful pedigree # 13!! Vaillant, nice pickup from KirbyJack! I have to get that issue.
  7. Fantastic Four # 109 recently purchased from fellow boardie rube11. The book looks great and a good example of early Bronze Age FF.
  8. FF # 75 purchased recently from HighGradeComics.com, a dealer in New York. Is is a nice VF + grade with apparent amateur color touch along the spine. My second copy of this book!
  9. Very Nice Copies of FF # 65 and 67 especially. Here is my # 67 purchased from Best International Comics in New Hyde Park, NY. It was part of an original owner collection from an area of Long Island, NY called Manetto Hill. I was told that the owner (a 67 year old man) came into Best Comics with several suit cases full of Marvel Silver Age comics. He was on the fence about selling on Ebay or to the owner of Best Comics. He decided to sell to Best Comics. Most of his books are in the 7.0 to 9.0 range. I purchased a few FF's and Avengers. Front Cover: [/img]
  10. Very nice # 64!! I need a serious upgrade for that issue!
  11. I picked up a nice copy today of FF # 66 from a good dealer in Weschester County, NY called Alternate Realities. He always has a good assortment of Silver Age Marvel comics. The book has some tanning but I bought it right away. Front Cover: [/img]
  12. That is a great looking book! C ongratulations!
  13. Beautiful copy and God Bless the original owner who served our country. Steve
  14. Ha Ha. I need to save up to purchase another book from you. Amazing colors on this book. Vern, I am going to stop at a con we have here in NYC on March 1st (Mike Carbo Convention) to drop it off to CGC. It is a high grade book and I would like to see what grade they will assign to it. Better I CGC it so I stop looking at the interior.
  15. Very true. Schomberg must have had allot of fun with his covers. I don't think the German Army wore pink helmets but it makes for great wartime propaganda!
  16. SubMariner Comics # 14 recently purchased from podboy66 in the forums. A great German War cover, 1944. It has some restoration on the back cover.
  17. Dr. X, The FF sig 3.5 looks great. In my amateur opinion, one of the best ever FF covers from the Silver Age. I did recently purchase a CGC 4.0 FF 4. It is not a signature series. There is something about Stan Lee's signature which makes the books more apealing. Congrats.
