  1. Very nice books in this thread. How about FF # 6 which has two second appearances with Doom and The Submariner.
  2. Growing up in the Bronx, NY in the late 1970's, my dad (at my request) picked up a few Silver Age FF's...64, 65 and 61 (this book) at an old comic store near 57th Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. I have been hooked since.
  3. That is some book you now own! Great way to go about it as well. Ted is really good at trades / purchases. The FF # 1 you traded was not to shabby either.
  4. It looks like a 5.0 and nice book! (thumbs u
  5. Thank you! I wonder how many covers Stan ripped using a ball point pen?
  6. This week I upgraded my "Fair" FF # 1 copy that I purchased in May. I ended up trading that book with a few others and then purchasing this book!
  7. Very nice copy! That would be a dream upgrade for me!
  8. Purchased today from Metropolis in NYC. FF # 17 part of their Mighty Marvel Maniac Collection. I have always liked this panel cover and I definitely needed this book! A nice early Doom story.
  9. Wipple and TeamX-Men congratulations! (thumbs u
  10. so I need 66 & 67, eh? That goes for sure, if anything for the fact the story unfolds all the way through them: starting with the Sandman slipping in in #61, Blastaar joining the fun in #62 up to #63 – a little vacation on a desert island only to be life-threatened by the Kree Sentry in #64 (discovering there are other ancient not-exactly-friendly civilizations beside the Skrulls) – not a minute to breathe back home in #65 where a disturbing "shared" nightmare reveals that you’ve been sentenced to death by the Kree Supreme intelligence (via the courteous judgement of Ronan nonetheless). And in the meanwhile a mysterious figure, gliding through walls, has decided that Alicia's sculpting skills are required elsewere… go figure where? We'll discover it in #66 and #67, then hopefully we can have some rest. Yes, I’d say you need them.
  11. Hey you just bought that book! Congratulations! I followed that thread and was glued to it! The book presents nicely in the CGC holder.
  12. It is. I’m 100% sure, even if the picture is small to see well. Hey, that is the twin brother of mine… Nice FF # 8 Gentlemen! Here is mine after a press bumped it up maybe one grade? Boy, I wish I had a Kirby signature!
