  1. It took 7 days to get a posted response to my comment.....yeah.....VERY quiet Tim
  2. I usually press high value books. For $12, you can't lose. Did you press it? Who/where is a good reliable person to PM on the boards about pressing? I've been looking for a good one as well. Joey Post
  3. I think you said it very well and I agree. (thumbs u I completely agree. To be fair, it is usually the guys that think there mess don't stink here that trash the new guy. I personally have large graded sets, gold/ silver age keys and mess with some new hot stuff to (hopefully) fund my collection a little. I suppose that makes me a target on many levels! I don't care. My advice is, don't care either. Get in where you fit in and enjoy this place and the people you meet that you get along with. Have a great experience!
  4. Me and Ebixter bought Natevegas' copies

  6. Great book I bought from Darwin arrived in perfect condition and with a free gift that u never mentioned I always wanted! You're the best Thanks
  7. I hope it is news about content, more issues coming out (maybe once a month), signings, other media news, and/or signings/appearances and not news about more short printed variants
  8. Have CGC SS 9.8 in my collection and a CGC 9.8 as part of a full set for sale
  9. well, another one caught the Enormous bug with my auction and bought the 1-6 and then went and got the NYCC after a day of discussion. what is the print run up to on #7??
  10. Not sure if anyone is interested in watching whether or not a near complete a and b cover set (broken up of course) sells or not at auction (I did not start it anywhere near .99), but it is on for 7 days. I am curious to see if there really is a lot of interest outside us boardies or not!
  11. I'm not a speculator and have never been a speculator. I only compare it to Sixth Gun because it was very popular here for a while but once the TV stuff happened, the thread vanished. I've heard the book is good though. I couldn't disagree with you more about it being better than stuff coming out from the big two. Batman? Star Wars? Darth Vader? Daredevil? Hawkeye? I read a few issues of Enormous and even picked up the treasury edition (I only happened to stumble on a copy at my LCS). Artistically it was really neat, but story wise it was a mess. The story didn't seam tight enough and felt scattered. I like stories of characters, and there wasn't a person I cared about in Enormous. Add on top of that the erratic schedule and the difficulty with finding the book, and I was out. I actually switched LCSs a while back, and I noticed they were actually successful in getting copies. I think they sit on his rack though. This is a speculators book being driven by the variant market, pretty art, and the hope of a TV show. So basically you don't like the book...you could have just said that instead of telling us all these "facts" about how this book is bought. Definately doesn't like it...
  12. Mike is a great seller. Sold me some x-men modern keys in the condition stated and delivered fast and safe! Thanks Mike!! Joe
  13. Gary has already refunded me a week and a half ago and I have sourced another. I said get it redone with the right label and keep it. Maybe the universe's way or returning something to you that you shouldn't have given up in the first place. The thanks needs to go to IntoAnother who knowing the story, spotted the book and let me know right away. I, in turn, contacted the seller and got the story and contacted Gary, because it was the right thing to do. On occasion I hear IntoAnother's name mentioned in a negative way. Ever since I met kelly here, he has been a class act. Just wanted to write it down You are very welcome guys. I thought it was extremely odd it popped up so soon for less than the original sale. Especially knowing it's sales/lost history. I hope it works out very well for all parties involved. Awe shucks Joe. Thank you for the kind words. I only speak the truth. Some people love digging up years-old mistakes about others around here. I thought someone should bring your new image up to present day. And thanks for turning me onto Enormous early on. Only modern book I have been excited over in 3+ years!
