  1. So this is either ; 1) a 1st print newsstand cover on a 2nd print direct interior. 2) a 7th variant Until we confirm at least one more copy like this, I have to lean towards option 1.
  2. Check out this auction - CGC labeled the book incorrectly. https://outside-affiliatelinksnotallowed.ebay.com/outside-affiliatelinksnotallowed/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192446427936
  3. https://rarecomics.wordpress.com/2017/05/07/what-if-venom-possessed-deadpool-what-if-there-was-a-rare-cover-price-variant/ Well it’s clear he’s dedicated more time to this than I ever could and he’s clear about how he calculates his ranges and how those estimates could be wrong. Yes we’ll never know how many copies are out there, but at least there’s *some* sort of official count going on.
  4. Good point, I’m sure we’ll see a few of those pop up over time. Nobel’s article estimates a print run around 400-900 with a 10% survival rate so it’ll be interesting to see how many actually make it onto the census.
  5. Agreed, hopefully it starts to happen more so we can get a sense of print runs. Currently these newsstands are about 1.5% of the total 531 graded.
  6. Just picked up the newsstand of ‘What If Venom Possessed Deadpool?’ and I can’t find any sales history at all. Anyone seen one sell before? There’s lots of great research on this issue by Benjamin Nobel but none regarding sales. https://rarecomics.wordpress.com/2017/05/07/what-if-venom-possessed-deadpool-what-if-there-was-a-rare-cover-price-variant/ 7 on the census so they are out there...
  7. This isn’t mine, but it is for sale. I’m considering getting it because the lack of black gave this error a unique look than what I’ve seen. Thoughts on a fair price?
  8. If it’s rare or insanely pricey - any grade would do.
  9. Thankfully it was low enough for me to check it off my list.
  10. I know, took me less than a minute to review the listing and hit BuyItNow!
  11. Same seller threw up a lower grade today and I snatched it up. I’d been hunting this book for years, never thought I’d own a copy. Seller is from Canada so it supports the theory earlier in the thread about more copies coming out of Canada.

  15. That price is insane, they are basically paying $1,000 for signatures. Go to a con lol.

  18. Also picked up the actual comic from the ad, Young Romance 26, nice Kirby cover.
  19. Last year I took an art history class and learned about Richard Hamilton’s collage titled “Just what is it that makes today’s home so different and appealing?”, which is considered the first piece of Pop Art. In the collage is an ad for the comic Young Romance 26 used as a painting. I came across this article http://kirbymuseum.org/blogs/simonandkirby/archives/1051 which tracked the ad down to Young Love #15 (1950). After a year of searching I finally found a copy on eBay; Not sure if it’s worth getting slabbed in this condition (currently none in the census), but it’s still nice to own.
