  1. There’s some pics in this post for anyone who missed them.

  3. Received another round of books, and as said above, all is good. Thanks!
  4. The membership levels page still shows free graders notes for each. Maybe it’s just a marketing thing to tout a “benefit” that’s already included?
  5. Action 471 Steel 2 Secret Origins 1 please.
  6. Another stack of magazines arrived from namisgr. Everything was A-OK and I’m happy to add these to my collection, especially an always classic “fish-in-face” cover.
  7. Just received a small group of books from nochips. Comics were as described, nicely packaged, and communication was pleasant. I’ll be happy to get more books from him in the future.
  8. A simple yet classic sound effect from 1970’s Archie comics.
  9. A printers/production crease should have minimal effect on grade. Printer’s creases are not considered a defect as I’m aware.
  10. For anyone interested, the Rawhide Kid posted above(lot#1) is #27. There’s no indicia, so this is certainly from 1962 and not a later reprint. The splash is Mr. Kirby.
  11. I understand we all have different tastes, likes/dislikes, but maybe check out Mister Miracle (DC 2017). Twelve issues or you can find the tpb. There’s still good stories to be found in moderns because there’s still good writers in comics.
  12. I’m more than happy to discuss this in another thread. It’s interesting to me. While I understand you disagree with my Thomas/Conan statement, going back to the OP’s question “which BA writer had the biggest impact on the medium going forward?”
  13. Not meaning to discredit DC or it’s writers, but I think Marvel had a greater stable of talent and influence overall during the 70’s.
  14. MCS is very tight/conservative when grading books to begin with.
  15. I’ll have to disagree here. Not downplaying BWS’s impact on Conan or comics in general, but I’ll give the nod to Thomas scripting 150+ issues and working in tandem(often) with Buscema(150+ issues) and Ernie Chan(175+) issues had a more far reaching impact.
  16. Loved his stint on Captain America and to a lesser degree Captain Marvel, but beyond those two and some JLA issues I can’t recall what else he was writing.
  17. Somewhat similar to what Mr. Thomas did with Conan. I believe he brought that character to an audience that otherwise May not have ever picked up a Howard book.
  18. Thanks for catching that. I had no memory of the barcodes being that early.
  19. First barcodes on comics from the mainstream publishers: DC & Charlton w/ cover dates - May 76 Marvel - June 76 Archie - September 76 Gold Key - June 77 Harvey - August 78 Charlton - Oct 75
