  1. It seems the max page dimension CGC will encapsulate is 11 1/2 x 8 7/8. Some info here: https://www.cgccomics.com/grading/collectibles-that-are-not-encapsulated/
  2. That High Adventures has Mike Royer inks, so I’m wondering were these all books Mr. Royer contributed to? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that last one (“ARC”?).
  3. Are you able to post an image of the comic? If it’s just preservation you’re after, you may be best served by putting the comic in a Mylar sleeve.
  4. I’d think there’d be interest in Gold Key Korak and Tarzan as I seem to notice quite a few people interested in painted covers specifically. Not sure how lots would fare vs. individual issues though.
  5. The thread gets bumped periodically. There’s also a Ross Andru thread that gets good traction.
  6. Try here: https://shop.collectiblesgroup.com/collections/cgc-products
  7. Anecdotal from kids who bought these when one or both parents were stationed overseas, but the inserts were often removed to decrease “unnecessary” weight/space when comics needed to be stored or shipped as part of household goods during routine moves.
  8. An admin was alerted earlier to this problem in another thread. Welcome to the forum!
  9. My first floppies & collected editions in 2023 arrived! Paperheart’s solid and careful packaging ensured everything arrived safe & sound. All books as described and I’ve got some neat reads for the weeks ahead and to add to my shelves.
  10. Fwiw I very much enjoyed Jonathan Hickman’s run on the title(#570-611). I’m a bit fuzzy on the artists, but Steve Epting did the lion’s share during that time.
  11. Would magazine sized BCW Top Loaders work for you? They do make 8 1/2 x 11 and 9 x 12 sizes. The latter might work if you include a backing board.
  12. She fell lock, stock, & barrel behind her nation’s prevailing propaganda at the time. She eventually saw the error in her ways and found the “gum chewing” Americans weren’t as bad as believed, so all ended well with Hansi becoming a proud American. There was some religious stuff in there, too.
  13. Don’t overthink it. Just add a new post whether it be the emoji example shown above, pricing update, add additional book, etc.
  14. It’s not uncommon for books of nearly any grade. Especially baffling in books that seem to be under graded based on cover alone.
  15. Not knowing the specific book, FMV or potential asking price, generally I’d say some buyers are looking to see if there’s pressable defects to CPR. Also if there’s hidden defects that might be present should the comic otherwise present higher than the label grade.
  16. Look for the MJI description under the “variant” drop down box. The graders should notate MJI on the label regardless.
  17. Not familiar with all the printings, but the first print I believe are all $1.60 cover priced.
  18. More accurate would be “Highest price paid for a CGC 6.5 comic from the 1970’s”.
