Just arrived today! Solo highest graded signed copy. I'm not much of a signature collector, but I figured I had to have at least one book in my collection signed by Stan Lee and I needed to upgrade my 9.4 copy anyway. I hear you. I'm not ignorant to the importance of the authentic Gobbledygook books to Mirage Studios or copper age comic collecting as a whole . I just can't see why they are viewed, by some, as containing the first appearance in comics of the TMNT when it is an ad page. That's all my previous posts were focused on.

+1 There are many examples like this throughout the GA, SA, BA, CA, and even modern age.

I'm going to have to disagree with your logic here. For example, having a silver age DC book with an ad page for the upcoming Brave and the Bold #28 is not considered the the first appearance of the justice league and it's value and significance is not even in the same ball park. Why would it be any different in this scenario.

This book arrived at my office today! I borrowed the sellers pics for now until I get it home and take some better ones myself this weekend. I own maybe only 4-5 Sig Series books total and normally don't chase after them, but this one really spoke to me when I saw it so I had to scoop it up when a fellow boardie felt that it was time to let it go. I was born in 1984 and grew up with the craziness that was Turtlemania in late 80's into the mid 90's and had the action figures, video games, themed birthday parties, bedroom set, Halloween costumes, etc. These turtles have a very special place in my nerdy heart. I'm holding out hope that the new TM(M as in mutant Mr. Bay... not aliens)NT movie will be awesome, but I'm not really a fan of very many Michael Bay films. We'll see.

One more Marvel 1968 series starter down! The old case is scuffed and scratched a little, but I don't think I'll re-sub. I kind of like the old label goodness.
