  1. I started with AD&D and I love this thread. Best villain, hands down, has got to be Vecna (see what I did there). A Lich who's just a disembodied eye and hand floating around killing you and all of your friends. But the best module for me was this: I would love to have that hanging on my wall for all time. Not strictly related, but I found this piece on a table at GenCon '92. Love it, great work, now if only I could figure out who did it!
  2. I've decided to stop looking at Greggy posts. They just depress me.
  3. Not a flea market, but I bought 14 long boxes for 600 I found here in town (pregnant girlfriend and an old collection languishing in a garage). Nice 80's-90's runs of FF, Iron Man, ASN, Web of Spidey, PPSSM, Xmen and a bunch of random garbage. Here are some highlights: Not bad for about 13 cents a book
  4. I agree (thumbs u Me three! I'll refer to this a lot as I try to figure out just what the *spoon* I'm doing.
  5. I've gone through this thread the last few days and you unkind persons had me out pricing shelving units. I'm doomed...doomed I say! So, for conversion purposes--can anyone tell me how many short boxes I'll need per long box and the weight of a short box? I need to figure out how pricey converting is going to be and the weight load the shelving I'll need will need to take.
  6. Of Permanent Value- book about Warren Buffett (serious man-crush on WB, a genius!) Liar's Poker- ibankers messing around on Wall Street, much more entertaining than I thought. Reading this in preparation for The Big Short by the same author about the recent 'market correction.'
  7. If you're having trouble sourcing packing peanuts for cheap I've always found that you can snag a pile of phone books at your local recycling center during the yearly collection. If you have a garage, you have cheap packing material for the year. Wouldn't use it for anything really pricey, but for a double box or volume- not bad. The paper is also really good because it's soft and it forms easily, so you can square it off if you'd like around what you're shipping instead of wrapping with newsprint and the ink sets better, so it doesn't transfer like newsprint (so you and your package don't get all smudgy). Yes, I understand someone will pull out that last quote and put it somewhere inappropriate, but such is life.
