  1. What kind of cut could we be talking about here? $15 million instead of $20 million, or something far south of that? Now that the film is a hit, I'm sure Fox will cut him back in. Surely they will.
  2. I started getting teary eyed just reading that. Good grief. What has this movie done to me? Apparently it brought out your feminine side.
  3. I generally enjoyed it. It contained roughly the same amount of stupid as Temple of Doom.
  4. What choice did he have? Lucas had held out for over 20 years on the sci-fi 1950s crystal skull concept despite the fact that Spielberg and Ford both hated it. It was either do what Lucas wanted or let Ford get too old to play the role.
  5. Wishful thinking. People who have no ability to suspend their disbelief absolutely would not enjoy this film given the extreme injury Wolverine and X-24 survive and the insane fighting ability of a twelve-year old X-23. That's all kick-arse to me though.
  6. I suppose it's fine for a one-off where he dies at the end, but the idea that the thing that makes him so cool also makes his healing factor weaker makes the character a bummer. Did the comic explain why Wolverine was aging after they had previously established him as nearly immortal?
  7. Yea, I'm stuck thinking about X-23. And whether or not I hate the film's idea that Wolverine's adamantium was poisoning him. I don't think I like that idea.
  8. She out-Wolverine'd Wolverine with the brooding faces and fierce scowls while sinking her claws into dudes. Don't want to encounter this tyke in a dark alley.
  9. The forum software switch culled out the older and weaker members of the herd.
  10. Didn't Jermaine Clement's character describe the yellow-eyed man as the monster in David's astral plane? He also referred to him as something else, but I forget what exactly. The evil side of David, or something like that?
  11. I've been waiting for Fox to finally do something with Polaris. She's got the same powers as Magneto so she should be pretty damn powerful.
  12. Ebay ad moved to the bottom, ComicLink/Heritage ad added in place of the old ebay ad. Screen real estate on every single page still pushed down unnecessarily by about two inches. Ads are fine, but ads that make the design worse are not.
  13. The <br>s are shivers. Architecht is apparently chilled by the tone of your posts.
  14. Yes. Every Spidey film since #3 has done worst at the box office than the last because if the ratings suck then future audiences start to disappear. Spidey 3 was a HUGE financial success with a bigger opening weekend than the first two, but Sony knew that the lower ratings--which were still 63% on Rotten Tomatoes so still higher than any of the post-Nolan DC films--would erode the franchise. And they have, hence them handing it back to Marvel.
  15. And cost a few hundred thousand bucks instead of a few hundred.
  16. Seemed slow and uneventful. If you missed this one I can't say that you're at all behind going into the next one.
  17. The kind that let him do pretty much whatever he wanted. After "Begins" they knew they were lucky to have him.
  18. And I'm sure the contract makes him committed to them but them not committed to him. Like handing someone a pre-nup on the first date that makes the marriage open but only for one side.
  19. Incredible critical response. It's still likely to dip down to 90% once more of the mainstream reviews come in, but who cares. Sounds like this one's a winner.
  20. Historically in forums I've always used quoted text to serve as an easy reference to who I'm directing a post at, but after seeing @skypinkblu use these new @username references I'm now wondering if those are a more succinct alternative to including an entire quote.
  21. Almost 1 PM PST now, wherrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz da revieeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwsssssssssss
  22. Arch, is there a financial reason not to do this? The first screen of any page anywhere in the forums is taken up in half (on a desktop) or in full (on a phone) by the top banner and that dumb banner ad. Do they give the Collector's Society a bigger monetary kickback the further up in the HTML it is, or does placement on the page not matter with regards to advertising revenue?
