Well what pisses me off about emailing Kara and Tony Moore is I just stated I was interested in spending a bunch of money on prints at an upcoming show, inquired if they would be doing an eBay auction with an offer for a sketch for said show, and then about whether 2 different pages of original art were still available and if so how much. Made it clear in my email that I was looking to drop $1000+ on everything from the prints, sketch and finally original artwork and I can't get a damn response.

Emailed them again 2 weeks later and still never received a response. All I can say is WTF. Pretty horrible way to run a business.

To add if ECCC is the big convention in August in Toronto they have an auction up here already EBAY AUCTION FOR TONY MOORE SKETCH

Looks like she has already auctioned off 2 of them for this show which sold at about $400 a pop.

sweet tony is going to be at eccc again does he still do sketches anyone ?.. if so how much ?. I hope they bring in more twd guests maybe i will just hold off & wait & see! Getting stuff signed in person is so much better than sending off

 

I would say email Tony and his wife Kara to inquire about sketches but hell they don't seem to care to respond to emails these days. Even when I asked about buying $500 to $1000 worth of original artwork I can't get a damn response.

Kara will sometimes throw up on eBay an auction for a sketch op at the different conventions so check there also.

Tony is going to be at the Cincy convention coming up next month and I am hoping to get some stuff signed including 3 #19s with solid shots at 9.8s.

Bought a CGC Sig Series signed by McFarlane, Lee and company of Amazing Spiderman #300 from Brian. Item is perfect, shipped perfectly and flawless communication.

Look forward to buying from Brian again and again, at least until the wife cuts me off.

Just have to say wow at the lineup we are going to have here in Cincinnati Ohio in November for the HorrorHound Fest. So far from the Walking Dead we have Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal, Steven Yeun, Emma Bell, Addy Miller and Greg Nicotero.

Kind of shocked such a solid lineup of actors from the show will be there. So any chance of getting a CGC facilitator to be at this show to get some SS comics done up?

I can get some Ghostbusters comics signed by Ernie Hudson.

The last few comics have been pretty boring. Think I am going to go back to just reading the trades twice a year so I can get more of an overall storyline read at one time.

Also it is offical my package from Argentina for those Walking Dead comics disappeared en route to the US. If anyone either picked up an extra set of 1-9 or is going to be ordering some soon I would be interested in piggybacking the order. Can pay you upfront via Paypal + the cost to ship them to me. The people at OVNIpress were cool with giving me a refund but I guess I am the first lost shipment they have had and I don't really want to reorder directly from them because they almost didn't seem to believe me.

Ok I have been picking up a bunch of issues on the cheap on eBay. Collections for like $2 a comic or less. Well of the 6 issues 48s I have gotten in the last 5 weeks 1 of them is an error but is different than what is pictured.

Mine is missing pages 1-4 and has pages 5-8 in it twice. The double pages in the back are the Kirkmania.com, 2nd to last and last page of letters, and finally 1st half of tshirt ad.

So Looks like different printing errors are out there.

Never noticed that holiday special was $9.99 cover. Is it like 100 pages?

Anyone know what the print run was on those having a hard time finding one myself.

Also the Argentina printing company responded to me again telling me to wait some more and I should get my order. I received packages sent within the last 10 days from Canada (thanks always Branget) and Australia, but a package sent over 30 days ago from Argentina is still "en route". I doubt it, that package is misshipped or outright gone by now. Gonna have to open a PayPal dispute in 3 days or I will be out of my 45 day window to dispute the purchase. May be looking for a set of 1-9 from Argentina if anyone has a set still for sale.

Also ordered 2 copies of that SDCC exclusive for $7.99 each but I agree that is an ugly cover for San Diego.

shipping from argentina is a major pain. the shipper has to jump through hoops to just have the box (or in this case, heavy paper packages) leave the country. it is the shipping, not that the books haven't shipped yet i'm sure. did you contact the publisher to find out the status?

Yeah they were shipped out about 23 days ago according to the publisher.

Sucks to waste your time in this type of situation. I drove to buy a collection of Magic the Gathering cards off someone via a Craigslist type transaction about 6 weeks ago. My drive time round trip was 3 hours. The guy didn't even have the whole collection with him at the time and now wants me to meet up with him again to finalize some sort of deal.

What pissed me off is he wouldn't just sell me everything that he had brought with him and I could offer to buy the rest another time. Nope insisted he sells it as one collection. I even tried to get him to sell me just a handful of cards to cover my time and gas but nope. He insisted on letting me borrow the cards. Good thing is I got about $150 worth of cards to cover my time and gas, and if we don't complete the deal and I drive there again I will be deducting my time and gas from those cards.

On a side note my wife says Branget needs to be put on some sort of list so he is prohibited from selling me anymore Walking Dead goodies. Little does she know I plan to spend a lot more during the summer on stuff from him hopefully.

Hawkman did you order those directly? If so how long did it take to get them? I am still waiting on my order from them.

I ordered mine on the day the link to order them directly was posted in this thread. They just came in this week so yours should arrive any day too.

 

My #1 is a solid 9.6+ but was unbagged. The rest were VF though, and the #2 was Fine at best. The comics were put in a bag, then in an envelope. No protection.

 

Still, for the price I can't complain, plus I'm glad the one book in great shape was the #1. (thumbs u

Did you try and get ahold of the website and complain about the conditions? If the ones I get are in beat up condition due to poor shipping / packaging I paid by Paypal and I will file a complaint if they don't make it right.

My big pet peeve right now is people shipping comics in a manner that they get damaged. 2 for 2 on eBay auctions this week for raw comics being shipped in a manner that they were damaged.

Well I read the first trade of this which I believe covered the first 5 issues. Kind of on the fence on whether I want to continue on.

This wasn't at all what I was expecting, but I never looked into the storyline before jumping into the trade. It is interesting to say the least.

Wondering if another Board Member is the one who keeps going up against me for NM issues of #19 on eBay. I see you have feedback of 253 to my 1004.

I am used to customs messing with my stuff especially packages out of South America and SE Asia. I think they expect it to be a box full of drugs everytime.

Anyone know by ordering on the website how long it is taking them to ship? Also looks like all 9 are available. 7-9 are $5 each. Just ordered a few sets.

So I am interested in getting into this series and am way late to the party. What is my best option? I know if I go with the trades I will then end up wanting 1st printings of the actual comics because that is how the collector in me works.
