Great looking copy hawkman!

Thanks, I originally bought it as a PGX 5.0, busted it out and my dad thought he found restoration on the back cover, but it there was none!
Wow, thats a big drop from a PGX 5.0 even though their grading standards are different. I have always thought PGX was roughly .5 to 1.0 higher. 1.5 is a lot.
Nice copy though with a good PQ.

Robojo33 sells slabs too and many boycott doing business with him regardless if the book is raw or slab. Same with me for this guy...don't care what he has to offer.
Sadly as long as enough people keep buying from these types of sellers...eBay will thrive
good point ...

beautiful!

because the seller is one of the biggest douchnozzle on Ebay.
I know about his reputation ... but this book was CGC graded. So you know exactly what you are buying.
I intended on bidding on this book but forgot about it last night.

Nice book.
Cool neon light

I know this is unrelated to comics, but it looks like he is now after a talking fortune telling machine.
He is mentioned and quoted a few times starting around the middle of the article.

I thought both SC#4s went for decent prices as well.
-
Thats a good way to start page 500, a nice VF-
I actually would have thought that the AF#15 club would have gotten to 500 before SC#22. Maybe its because of the movie earlier this year and that the SC#22 is more affordable than AF#15

OK.
It was the same exact book and pictures from 2 different sellers in 2 different countries. The second seller had very low feedback. Maybe eBay was on to the second seller.

I know it may be too late ... but does this look a little strange to anyone else other than me??

By drawing in the superhero crowd as well as the war film enthusiast,
WW2 superhero films can be very profitable like the Cap movie and the 1991 Rocketeer. You got the fantasy of the superhero as well as the fantasy setting of a bygone past...as long as they handle it properly and with respect, it shouldn't miss. I hope they're thinking about a Torch/Sub-Mariner battle as well and they can throw in some of the other Timely characters as cameos.

Well put! I'm in!

BTW, just picked this one up tonight....
Very nice!
Beautiful mid-grade copy!

I know you've been burned in the past and I understand. I would have risked it, if I'd known.
I cracked my PGX 6.0 Brenda Starr 14 and CGC'd it. Came back 7.0. A throw of the dice for sure.

Cap 1 is my absolute 'Grail' book... not that I'll be owning one any time soon!
I feel the same way!
I don't think i will be owning one as well

Didn't Metropolis have a heavily restored Cap 1 4.0 for 8K before SDCC? Its gone now.
Yeah they did. I saw this book listed on at least 2 different sites.
It was for sale for a long time before it sold/removed.

I sold a 4 figure book to James and everything went perfect.
He is friendly and a great guy to deal with. He is an asset to the boards.
Hopefully we will deal again in the future.
