  1. This requires talented, imaginative writers, but Disney hires activists who can spell.
  2. I just brought home my latest upgrade Thank you, RMA, for the fast shipping and excellent packaging!
  3. Val Semeiks/John Dell Lobo. The last page was the highest at $500.
  4. The textures are what grabbed my eye- The folds of the clothing, the brushwork in the hair and the flowers on her head. That's what I love about collecting art. I can't afford to play in the big leagues and collect the art from the comics I collect, so I'm "forced" to go with art that simply appeals to me, and that's all art needs to do. I can easily see selling all my comics and keeping the art, because the art is truly one of a kind.
  5. I purchased this from Tim Vigil at SDCC 2019. I have to think I'm the only one who noticed it in his portfolio because I can't imagine any fan passing it up. My favorite piece from him. I have a high-res scan of it that I should get colored.
  6. I still have mine from Marvel Classics #26- Probably purchased on eBay. There's nothing significant about it, but I still love it for the brushwork.
  7. I upgraded my POS #10 thanks to RockMyAmadeus
  8. I thought I posted these, but never clicked 'submit' (please pardon the BA in the SA forum).
  9. +1 I've often wondered if it was inspired in part by Star Trek TOS: A Piece of the Action. I'm pretty sure I've at least seen a discussion about it.
  10. I wanted to just post them all, but going with my favorites...
  11. The 2nd cover is gorgeous- I thought [hoped] for sure at the time it would get 9.8
  12. I didn't even notice my post was heavy with yellow I guess I feel the same way.
  13. I'm bored and I haven't been buying any Spidey's, so here's some random images.
  14. I purchased these here many years ago. I thought for sure I'd have retired by now.
  15. Chipping away at the gaps, though I still doubt I'll be able to get an 83.
  16. GCD says Star Trek Annual #1 (1985), but it's hard to believe it wouldn't be earlier.
  17. I forgot about this. They haven't been removed.
  18. Posters for the never-to-happen Science Fiction Land- Concept by Barry Ira Geller based on Roger Zelazny's work. This was part of Barry's Lord of Light project, designed by Jack Kirby, whose artwork was later used by the CIA in their ruse to free the Americans trapped in the Canadian Embassy in Iran (as portrayed in the film ARGO). It would have been nice if the film used JK's actual art instead of using stuff that looked Star Wars-y. The Kirby estate wasn't happy that Barry was using the artwork, but that was ridiculous because he paid JK to do it, so Barry could do whatever he wanted with it, which includes stating the fact that JK did it. Barry was trying to launch a full product line based on this and was slowly on his way before he sadly passed away last year. RIP my friend.
  19. A few more Mike Royer posters when he worked for Disney's Marketing Dept.
  20. DC Universe poster (the same one found in The History of the DC Universe, only bigger and rolled). I've only been able to get it signed by Royer and Sienkiewicz.
