  1. misquotes happen frequently. They are hard to avoid.
  2. RickL, all demons and hypocrites will crumble to dust. Unfortunately, that includes ourselves. Do not despair. There are powers unimagined in this universe that will come for us at the time of death. The pagans remember the train of Diana, a train of a thousand beautiful faeries and loving animal beings that come for us at the time of death. The Buddhists document the 33 heavens that are open to all beings. The Christians pray for the open gates where Jesus awaits us. In this world of dust and suffering, we have lost our origin. Albert Einstein said that the most important decision any of us will ever make is whether or not to believe that this is a friendly universe.
  3. oakman29, I am not afraid of painting myself as a psycho or not being taken seriously. The world can think as it will. The power of this life, is being calm in the midst of a million tribulations. They come for everyone. When they come, remember that this is a peaceful universe. And to breathe.
  4. Rick L, I'm trying to go to bed. Your attention to detail...that's a beautiful thing. I have made lots of mistakes in the past four days. If you want to share them with me, I welcome that. I am fallible. I do not want to have wrong understanding, wrong speech, or wrong action. When you share them with me, please be kind. Chespirito, I am glad you liked the poem. It's from the book, When I find you again it will be in mountains. I find comfort in these poems. Chia Tao (779-843) was a Buddhist monk until the age of 31 who took the extraordinary step of leaving the Buddhist order. He devoted himself to his poetry.
  5. oakman29, I wouldn't pay a penny to ship it back and neither would you. chespirito, forestdharma is in lower case letters, if you wouldn't mind.
  6. I was too rough on aszumilo. And too rough in my own nature. I don't like that. He is a good person. And, as the hours pass into dark night, I was too drunk. I am going to bed. Please accept this night-time poem? The grass-covered path is secluded and still; a closed door faces the Chung-nan mountains. In the evening, the air's chilly, but the light rain stops; at dawn, far off, a few cicadas start. Leaves fall where no green earth remains; a person at his ease wears a common white robe. With simplicity and plainness his original nature still, what need to practice calming of the heart?
  7. Aszumilo, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. If you want to talk with me again, I would welcome the conversation. I would really like your response. In the meantime, Vinnie and Frank, are nowhere to be seen. Aszumilo, I would like to add a note to #4. I am not going to let Mary Marvel #17 ever return to the hands of Metropolis.
  8. aszumilo, thank you for keeping to your 5 points. #1 is a double standard. I won't accept it. #2 I don't care what Metropolis is willing to do to make up for it. At present you are out of touch with your own emotions. Which is something, most likely, we all share in common. If a dealer misrepresented a comic to you, it doesn't matter how many years pass, you are going to have a negative feeling about them. Is this not true? Is this not true for everyone? #3 I was wrong to wish that the karma sets in on them. That is just plain wrong. #4 A few days ago, I spoke with Frank at Metropolis. He offered to take the comic book back. He did not offer to pay shipping. We have a no go here. #5 Thank you. I don't know whether I handled in the best way possible. Knowing me, probably not. But I don't care how long ago Metropolis cheated me, it is still alive in my memory.
  9. aszumilo, you have given great energy to your response. I'm going to take a few minutes to look it over.
  10. If you please, another poem by Chia Tao (779-843). At your remote temple there are many tall trees; with the skies clear, I think again of visiting. Stone chimes carry over ditched field water; autumn moonlight enters Ts'ao-t'ang Temple. Dotted with ants and lichen, your cave is peaceful; cicadas outside hide in dense cypress needles. You've often thought of traveling to the sacred mountains' wen will you come to Sung-shan?
  11. aszumilo, come forward. #1 is irrelevant. Tell us otherwise. #2 is correct. Is that a problem? I'm sorry, I'm not clear on #3 #4. Have you ever been cheated? Do you have a cut-off time when you get over it? #5. The Davis Crippen copy of Mary Marvel #17 belongs with me. I think your logic has been influenced by your fear of facing the scariest monsters. Gather your strength and stand with us.
  12. While we're waiting for Vinnie and Frank, if it would please you, I can read a poem. A quiet residence with hardly a neighbor-- a grass-covered path and deserted garden. birds roost in pond-side trees; in moonlight, a monk knocks at a gate. Crossing a bridge unfolds more wilderness; moving a rock moves the base of clouds. I've been absent for some time, but now I'm back; i won't break our vow of retreat.
  13. Absolutely not. Metropolis, so far your pawns have been frightened to come forward. Why don't you come forward? Vinnie, Frank. I'm standing here, waiting for you.
  14. Mr. Diggler, I have a situation here. Please reserve your wrestlers for later. I hope I am still around.
  15. RockMyAmadeus, who is this guy? He is a worthy opponent. Come here my friend. Where do you come from? I stand as a friend of the goddess. Who do you stand with? Let us begin. May the powers of the worlds protect us and heal us and give victory to what is written. Let us shake hands and hug before the battle. Power to the Great Mother. Blessings to all living beings.
  16. Kerouac, I don't believe we've met. Come forward. We will do three rounds, three minutes each. We need to agree on a referee. Pick someone from the congregation. What is your name? Can you unbiasedly observe the match? I believe I can O.K., I accept him. Uhh, Mr. Diggler, you are tempting me and obviously trying to weaken my will. Please reserve your wrestler for later.
  17. Will not the Goddess determine our outcomes? I too am merely a pawn. But the pawn of something more beautiful than the man-made. I serve the Goddess. If it be her will, I am ready to die. And if it be her will, empires will crumble laid in ashes at her feet. Everyone gather their courage, wait for her voice.
  18. I think Dr. Balls might be at a dinner engagement or asleep in bed or is otherwise unavailable. I await his response tomorrow morning. In the meantime, are there any Metropolis weaklings or sucklings who imagine they have the intestinal fortitude to wrestle me, right here, right now?
  19. O.K., Men in tights. I'll wrestle you. But first Dr. Balls, It sounds like you want to challenge me. I'm right here. No aggression, no violence. Just good old Grecan-Roman wresting. Come on.
  20. I await the head slave of Metropolis. Come now. The hour is late.
