  1. I always used the inside front cover as a guide. Also the subsequent printings were all labeled as such if I recall. Easy to check.
  2. I'll be less than enthusiastic about hearing from any new pissed off buyers. At some point, they're responsible for their own purchases and the people they choose to do business with.
  3. I've never heard those, but I used to read about them all the time.
  4. I do have the form to join the club. Does each new member still get stale hockey card bubble gum? I went to a baseball card show once back in the early 90s and bought a bunch of unopened Topps 1985 wax packs. I cracked them open but didn't try the gum, although I was tempted. Hell, I'd try that gum NOW. I've had them so old they shatter like glass.
  5. I do have the form to join the club. Does each new member still get stale hockey card bubble gum? Or a dried out muffin. Your choice.
  6. Wow... Indeed. Celebratory scumbaggery complete with evil laughter. No assembly required.
  7. Well.... ...if that community is Salem, circa 1692, I'd say it's fairly accurate.... I just think it's funny that we've got a cop who is people over repeatedly, and a devious buyer who'll do anything to get the book he wants...and the words bullying and community come up in essentially the same sentence. To the head.
  8. Boise is a weird, weird town. Not much happens there. This was probably the biggest influx of Hollywood talent they've ever seen. I used to have to travel there about twice a year to visit clients. Once you ate dinner, there was nothing else to do. Micron was interesting. Bunch of cowboys running that company. But looks were deceiving. Those boys were scary smart, and if you didn't have your act together they would send you home with your tail between your legs.
  9. Tree City Comic Con Nicholas Brendon "Xander Harris" 'Buffy' star Nicholas Brendon arrested after hotel disturbance in Boise, Idaho
  10. Remember Monty Pythons "Matching Tie and Handkerchief" album with 3 sides?
  11. Those Denons were really good too. I had a piece o' Akai. One channel was always low on playback, so you had to attempt to compensate during recording without overdriving it. I hated that thing.
  12. Is that in your garage? Part of a parade float? Did you steal it from a miniature golf place?
  13. I haven't seen them? My newest price of modern wonder? Sansui Computerized Fully Automatic DD Turntable P-M90....I can't get a link up with the PC busted, but look it up...so cool... Ha, I have a Sansui Power Amp that I bought over twenty five years ago that I haven't taken out of the box yet. I'll get around to it someday. edit - I wonder if it still works? edit again - now I am curious, I may have to go and take it out of the box. I don't remember what it even looks like. Okay, just took it out of the box. Like brand new. My wife says I bought it in 1987. I wasn't sure about the year but I bought it at Music Craft on South Halsted in Homewood Illinois. I was replacing an Audio Research Sp 3 Pre Amp and two Dynaco Mark 5 power amps. The tension is building. Unseen since 1987. Wow. Looks absolutely brand spanking new! I blew up my sound system recently, so I'm using an old amp that I have had in almost continuous service somewhere in the house since I got it. It's even older than your Sansui.
  14. I still have a working 8 track....and three record players and cassette decks set up around the house. The 8 track is seldom used though, more of a novelty...and good tapes for it are tough to find. I used to have a quadrophonic 8 track when I was a kid. And then I had a removable one for the Impala when I was a teen. Last tape I bought for it was Genesis Seconds Out. I had a record player with one used 45 I must have played it 100 times. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=ballad+of+the+green+berets&FORM=VIRE2#view=detail&mid=F9BB7D0BF14ACA69C0B6F9BB7D0BF14ACA69C0B6 Check this out. My brother gave me one when I was a kid. It looked a lot like this... He also gave me two 45s: Surfer Joe and The Purple People Eaters. I think I still have them somewhere.
