  1. Yeah, although I rarely have a sack of potatoes in my pantry these days. I try to avoid carbs if possible.
  2. With all the talk of knish's, I had to know. Seems easy.
  3. That's one place I stay the hell away from. What was that radio ad.. "Dublin, Berkeley, San Lorenzo, Cupertino, San Jose." Now THAT takes me back. I haven't thought of Denevi Camera in probably 25 years. Sadly, what I really want to see is long gone. There used to be a field at Mission College, across from Great America, where we used to practice. I drove by maybe 10 years ago, and it was all condos. Very sad. You could stop on by SCV HQ on Space Park Drive and take pics. Haven't been THERE since 1992. If I get out that way I will. Google had this from 2011...
  4. That's one place I stay the hell away from. What was that radio ad.. "Dublin, Berkeley, San Lorenzo, Cupertino, San Jose." If you have any places near me you'd like to see, let me know and I'll snap some pics the next time I'm there. Found it.

  6. A rare ginger in the wild sighting. Notice the feral haircut.
  7. Well...that's all folks. To summarize, all in all, I'd have to say that as far as comic book conventions go...the Campbell Farmers Market blows chunks. Really lousy selection of books - hardly any. And CGC was nowhere to be found - I wanted to drop by and say hello to Gemma. But their War of the Worlds Tripod exhibit was amazing - as was their food court. Hope you enjoyed it. Tune in next month when I review another comic convention - The Berkeley Dog Races at Golden Gate Fields Racetrack.
  8. Turns out this is a great breakfast place and not a strip club like I thought.
  9. Behind the gourmet doggie treats booth... Naschmarkt Not just Austrian cuisine, but New Austrian cuisine. They're the real deal too. Austrian family-run business.
  10. And, of course, you wouldn't be in the Bay Area without one of these...
  11. Avery is made in the town I was born, New Britain CT. Can't believe they have it out there That's to the head!
  12. Plant a tree....for your tomorrow... It's your tree that clears the air.... Tree planted. Tools cleaned and put away. That was manly work. I forgot about that caliche layer we have here. Could have used some explosives. But now I'm ready to rock out with my stick out.
