I was given the heads up about the Enchantment Visualettes many years ago. They are really awesome and have tremendous artwork. Thanks for sharing!

Anyone post a link to this one yet?
Coming up in the February Featured Auction. Single highest graded and a crazy cover. Stupid tough book
Wow! Looks like a really sweet copy. Definitely going to check and see how my copy compares.

A recent acquisition. I've been looking for a long time.
Nice pickup! Is this the one that was recently on eBay?
The cover image on this GCE 12 is super. Since this book is all about the cover, it is a great pickup! Congrats!

Now I can post my Cinderella Love group shot.
This is a fabulous shot of a truly beautiful and scarce set of comics. I know people always talk about books being under appreciated, but in this case, the description fits. Congrats on putting this together!

Here's a few I just picked up..
Fantastic pickups. The Going Steady and Diary Secrets are particularly nice. Congrats!

Not listed as Baker in Overstreet or on the label by CGC but looks like it to me. Anyone know for sure?
Cosmic Aeroplane Copy
Hi Boyd,
This is John Lee from the old Continental Comics of the 90s. Nice cover on the Phantom Lady, but I am 100% convinced this is not Baker. The body form and face just don't match.

Nice book! It seems like there are still many good bargains to be had in the post St. John era for Baker romance. I also love finding Baker in random Crime magazines and other miscellaneous publications from the 50s.
-
It's late and it's not that great, but a Baker in high grade is tough to resist.
Very pretty Baker cover and in amazing shape. Congrats on a great purchase!
-
That is really a great copy. My copy is super beat and I have only seen 1-2 other copies over the years. This definitely could be the rarest of the Wartime Romances.
-
Picked this up on the bay.
Congrats! Nice looking copy of a cool Baker cover.
-
I've posted it before, but here it is again.
Beautiful copy! That is one of the tougher issues on the run without a doubt.

One more while I'm at it. You hardly ever see this one for sale, so I'm assuming it is very rare as well. Just not as coveted as some of the other Chesler covers. Again, I think it shows what a great artist Sultan was. I would have to go with Scoop #2 though for his best golden age cover, EVER!
Not his best, but still great to own this Sultan cover....very Finesque in his inking...
This is just a wonderful piece of art Jon!!!
This is not an easy book to find and in my humble opinion, a bit underrated. Still, the Scoop 2 deservedly gets most of the glory.

Great comic. Get my vote for Baker's all-time best...maybe tied with Cinderella Love 25.
Took me a long time to find a decent copy, and haven't seen another one since. It's a scarce issue, probably due to collectors never wanting to sell their copies.
I don't consider this book rare, but I would say that it is a little uncommon. I definitely agree that it is a great cover and given the relatively low guide prices for Seven Seas 3-6, there is little incentive for most folks to sell.

Happy to win this "comic that never was." Although it seems to be often referred to as "Diary Secrets 4" as the CGC label has it, it actually isn't. (Note that Harley currently has a raw copy listed on eBay with the same title.) Nor is it "Teen-Age Diary Secrets 4" as the cover seems to indicate. It's actually Blue Ribbon Comics 4 and has a cover and two stories by our man -- although not attributed on the CGC label.
Unless, of course, I'm mistaken. If so, somebody please wise me up!
I'm surprised at the price you got it for. That was always seen as a tough book, although I've seen more over the years. Nice cover. One of the first Baker romances I ever picked up.
It is Blue Ribbon Comics #4.
I was pleased by the price. Kind of funny that neither the consignor nor SC realized it was a Baker book, particularly given the success -- and strong prices -- SC has had with auctioning Bakers.
Might the reason you did so well. Cgc didn't note it on their label and Sparkle probably only states what cgc says.
Definitely a very good pickup at a very reasonable price. This book may not be the rarest of Baker Romance books, but the condition makes this a great deal. Not to mention a fantastic Baker good girl cover. Congrats!

Agree 100%. Some of these are crazy rare and who knows if and when another one will become available.

You don't see this one come up often for sale.
The highest graded...the ONLY graded...Teen-Age Diary Secrets 9. Not often seen is right, more like never! And that is one heck of a nicely presenting 4.0. Graded back in '08 - was that your submit, Joanna?
Those chuckleheads in Sarasota can't seem to keep these titles straight btw. It's Teen-Age Diary Secrets, of course, not Diary Secrets. And to add insult to injury, it is a Baker cover for which cgc didn't credit him on the label. The only Baker cover of the run for this 6 issue title. True, it's not an original cover - it's a blowup of an interior panel. Don't ask me from which story though. For that we'd need to have an open copy of the book. Anyone?
Also, interestingly enough, this issue is an all Baker reprint, 68 big pages in a little digest format, and it's an exact reprint page for page of Teen-Age Diary Secrets #7.
I know Tomorrow's Treasures had (has) a copy but I think there are seal tears in the interior so it wouldn't get a blue label. I did have this slabbed. It is the same interior of 7. I don't recall which St. John issue this panel originally appeared in. I once photographed it but neglected to mark it or remember which original issue this story was from. I also have 7 which I got from a fellow board member. Also, I think there was a thread once going where we were trying to figure out the digests. I think what happened with these is that the digests were not a hit so they had a bunch of stock left over from 7 and just stapled a new cover for 9. Recycle and reuse!
Definitely hard to find. This is the only other copy I have ever seen other than the one I purchased below. I will have to check out the one Muchin has for sale.

Looks like the contents for the Record Book of Famous Police Cases are:
Western Bandit Trails
Son of Sinbad
2 Authentic Police Cases
There is some Baker in the Western Bandit Trails and some Kubert from the Son of Sinbad.
