I just hope the seller is not a Boardie, unless it's one of the recent forum noob sellers. In that case it would not surprise me.
If they are a boardie, they should pay attention to the comments here in the thread, it will help them build confidence with any potential buyers.

6K and they cant even be bothered to show the right hand front cover edge on the book or the inside of the covers front and back?? That would concern me more than anything else with this listing

Hrmmm...
I didn't know Comicconnect wont accept credit card payments over $2500, I am now stuck trying to figure out how to pay them since they also do not accept foreign checks / money orders.
Get a US dollar money order drafted at TD, that’s what I did last time and it worked for me as I was caught unexpectedly the same way.

Where are the undercopy rivets!! I am a buyer 😉

It’s a bloodbath 😀. I put in a Hail Mary bid on the #20 but it did not hold. Will be interested to see if any boardies picked up any issues at all!

Punishment bidding...
By about 12k. If someone can keep track of the final hammer on the planets it would be appreciated. I will probably be at dinner tonight with the family and likely not able to watch the auction live as it ends 😀
-
Sigh....Uber bidder only let me stay as high bidder for five minutes on three books. At least I cost them some money, it’s about the only pleasure I am getting from this auction 😜

Well most of these Planet books might be getting too rich for my budget, but I did pick up an Adventure Comics #72 in 7.0 from The CC auction last day, it’s a book I have wanted for a long time and the price was good in my opinion 😀

How so?
I just find it odd that pretty much every Planet book bid on gets outbid within a matter of minutes in what seems like every case. Someone tell me they have put in a high bid and it has stood for at least a few days?

7 minutes later and I am no longer high bidder on the Planet Comics!
Same with my most recent bid, every time for every book ?

This current auction really makes me question what’s going on here 🙁

Alternatively, the hypothetical uber bidder will break everyone's spirit early on and convince everyone else that there is no point even bidding and they will get the later issues relatively cheaply.
Just a theory, but I don’t think so. Too many keeners will continue to watch hoping desperately to pick up at least one book without crushing their bank account.

3 and 10 looking very strong too. Wondering how many finish in five figures? 1 looking like it will break six...
I believe there will be a lot more than six books that are 10k + after the auction is finished

I could see one of the 9.8's getting up there...
I don't believe the #8 will beat the #15 or #2, but its going to be expensive I think for whoever purchases it. My #8 is a lowly 5.5 off white book that I purchased early on, but I am happy with that for now.

I love that 15 but the price already is pretty much over my limit. are you surprised by the price its already at?
I am not surprised, I actually think it will run up quite a bit more. If for some reason it stayed low (under 15K) I would give it some serious consideration, but the chances of that happening I thought was very low. Its already getting up there and still many days left in the auction. That does not even take in to account if a couple of serious buyers put in some bids right at the end.

Other than the 1st issue which one will end the highest in your opinion?

Its got to be the #15 I would be very surprised if its another, only maybe #2 might beat it, that's also a very tough book

I am in the same boat the only difference is I am willing to take any Church Planet. Definitely priced out on a large portion of them already.
I may pull the trigger on a higher number issue to grab one as well, but there is really only a small grouping outside of the Rivets that appeal to me strongly on a personal level. I told myself that I would only focus on upgrades to my Rivets, but this batch of books might be too rich for what I really want to spend at the moment.

As much as I want one of these Rivet Church books, its seems more likely by the day that I may wind up sitting out this auction. Time will tell I guess
