  1. One of the first Creepy mags I ever read. My older brother would buy them and stash them in his drawer. Very nice! I got this in today. Various posts of Heavy Metal has got me hooked on another series, hence my first Heavy Metal.
  2. Just got this today. Not an FMF #1 but a great addition..
  3. Congratulations on a most excellent purchase! The closest I can get to this is via a copy of FORREST J ACKERMAN, FAMOUS MONSTER OF FILMLAND #1 1986. I should have it in a few days. One can only dream.
  4. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Great copy of Eerie 17! Mine is only an 8.0! Congrats!!
  5. Been working on my Savage Sword set and just got these in the mail.
  6. I don't collect FM myself but I thought that someone might be interested in this ebay listing I came across Famous Monsters of Filmland #4. Listed as FN? and with a high $28 shipping cost.
  7. Howdy! It seems this is a limited one issue that was sold only at the 2007 San Diego Comic Con by New Comic Company. It is 125 pages, softcover and measures 9" x 12" which is why it did not fit my scanner. New Comic Company bought all the rights to Warren's material (Creepy, Eerie, etc?.) and this was their first (and only?) effort at reprinting until a deal was struck with Dark Horse Comics to publish the reprints in archive form. This reprints 14 Creepy & Eerie b/w stories and 14 (12 interior color pages and the front & back cover) issue covers. Back cover is a reprint of Eerie #25. I can't find much more information about this and welcome more info as well! Anyone?
  8. I just got this one today. It was wider than my scanner so the right edge is a wee bit cropped. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  9. Nice cover. Looks like I need to collect a new mag series...

  11. I got very lucky & took a gamble that this was in at least fine shape. I have been looking a while, too. I am calling it a VF/NM (9.0) maybe a 9.2 but it is definately a VF. The big negative is that the back cover's left edge has a ragged cut to it. It appears to be due to the printing/cutting process. It has come to a good home.

  16. Yes, that was me and like I said - I was lucky! I had expected to see a lot of competing bids and was suprised that only the 2 of us were interested. The books are great but the platinum copy is missing its COA. If it's any consolation, this was my first bid and win on Heritage and they have come to a good home. I sincerely hope you get the timing out thing corrected for future bidding. It really sucks when that happens!
  17. I just got these in today and already posted in the "This week in your Magazine collection" thread. It took a while to find any available and I got lucky!
  18. I just got these in today! I have not found much availability for sale and got these as a set.
  19. Been lurking here a long time. Finally got a nice copy of this one.
