  1. I like both artists* but actually in those four pieces you picked, IMHO, Charlie's were far superior. Tony's just didn't do it for me. His looked almost like commissions that had no heart (to me) and were "just" posters while Charlie's evoked emotion and made me want to know more about the characters. Again, just my *I've only seen Tony's art on WD and nothing else. I've picked up some Battle Pope but haven't read it yet and just haven't gotten around to reading anything else. Not avoiding, just haven't gotten around to it. I loved Charlie's art on Codeflesh and have really liked it on some other stuff but don't recall the comic's names off the top of my head.
  2. I, for one, am VERY tired of the variants. That guest has really worn out it's welcome and as we see, they now have two different board games, tumblers, lighters and probably hair dryers if I looked hard enough. I know, I know. I don't have to buy it but... OMG! Spooning-A! THAT's a cool arse cover!
  3. I think ECCC is the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle next March 30th- April 1st. Tony Moore is listed as one of their guests.
  4. Also, I think if high bidder backs out, you may be able to offer second chance to someone else. One question (and this isn't criticizing and is totally meant just as a question): why do you have zoom turned off? My recollection is that the default is on when I've listed things and as a buyer, I'm suspicious when I see zoom is unavailable. Good luck on the auction and let us know how it turns out.
  5. It seems like quite a bit of slabbed WDs are moving on Ebay recently though not for those numbers.
  6. why don't you ask here. between me and evil ash, and maybe 1-2 more people, i'm sure we have everything WD officially released (i'm only missing the toy and 3 variant covers). let's see: american press kit latin press kit NY con stuffed toy wd #1 white mature readers cover/black mature readers cover 2nd prints (2, 7, 8, 33, 34, 50) variants (50, 75, 78, 80, 81, 85, 88) wd 75 (regular cover, comic con version, variant cover, and that blank cover version) wd weekly #1 had a phoenix variant wd special edition image holiday special (is that the name...forgetting right now? $9.99 cover price) serbian books (1-13, plus 2&10 had b/w covers) argentinian books (1-9) posters signed prints from tony moore (1-6, 19...a few other books/trade covers) that's what i remember right now Cool thanks man, just figured there would be a website out that had all that, pictures, so on so on. Couple more: Capes 1 and Agents 6 have previews of WD #1 #25 has a DF variant though it looks exactly the same and the DF is just a certificate and not imprinted on the cover. My copy is slabbed so I don't know if it indicates DF in the indicia. Does 75 have three variants? I thought it was just two (SDCC and white Ultimate Comics) 85 has two variants (Ketner and white Infinity) not just one. 87 has SDCC not 88. There's also 3 omnibusses not #ed/signed and 3 #ed/signed 6 or 7 (I think HCs some of which may have #ed/signed) 14 SCs Oh, and don't forget issue 1 has both white and black mature readers labels I "think" that's it. Great job guys. Yes, Hawkman was right about #75. 4 covers. (thumbs u Regular (angry Rick being held back) SDCC (Rick walking on a road) Variant (Adlard cover swipe of #1) Blank cover (Ultimate Comics exclusive). Of course! I own all those covers and knew that but just had a brain fart.

  8. May have an opportunity to get omnibus 2 but have corresponding HCs already. Do they have same extras? I recall when I went from SCs to HCs there was better stuff in HCs and it was worth it. Price is good but not if omni's have less. Anyone know?
  9. I'm in the same boat as Cherylynn. But first need to re-read other three books. Haven't read Horns yet either. Puhleeze use spoilers
  10. Morgan is dead now also. How do you like them apples? And it's all color starting next issue with black and white covers. The same issue when they reveal the cause of why the zombies exist.
  11. Do we really need spoiler alerts for something that happened like 3 years ago? sixxking- I remember that part. I just wasn't sure of the issue. Thanks. Re spoiler alerts: I think you do need them on signature events like that. Every post is someone's first and wouldn't want to, ahem, spoil it for them. I'm new to boards (but not comics) so didn't know how to use the SA thingy. Bruce
  12. Spoiler alert: Don't read unless you've read the book already. Here's a few hard returns just in case It was discovered that Duane, Morgan's son, had been bitten and turned. Morgan was protecting him by feeding him the stray person and/or dogs. Duane was chained up kinda like the Governor's "daughter." Rick and Abraham told Morgan that he needed to come with them but that he needed to kill Duane first. R and A left the building and heard a gunshot. Morgan, Rick and Abraham (and Carl) headed back to group. It was revealed that Morgan only shot the chain securing Duane and didn't actually shoot his son. Heartbreaking stuff.
  13. It was that story + the overall decency of Morgan + being a dad myself that makes #58 so crushing and one of my favorite issues. Damn you Kirkman!
  14. There is one. It's a photo cover for the new issue. (thumbs u Does anyone else think this looks like a Norman Reedus zombie?
  15. I drilled down a little and came up with 34 hits. Here's the search as of 7:45 PST. I think I got 200 hits at first with just searching for "walking dead 2", then selected "comics" on the left, then "modern age" on the left after that. 34 hits is nothing to skim through nor is 200 really. Your biggest "problem" is that you're looking for a #2 and the number 2 just happens to show up tons in descriptions. There is a nice slabbed 9.4 1st print going for 50 bucks from England right now. http://collectibles.shop.ebay.com/Modern-Age-1992-Now-/900/i.html?_nkw=the+walking+dead+%232+-weekly+-omnibus&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 I wish there was a CGC/PGX/slabbed opt-in button on Ebay. Virtually every single comic ever made is "CGC worthy" or I could "CGC it." If they had a slabbed button, I could drill down and lose the worthy or it entries. Now that would save some time. Anyone else notice that you get different hits depending on whether you add "the" to your "walking dead" search or not? Just searched for walking dead and got 5700+ hits and then searched for the walking dead and got only 2300+. Both searches were in the comics section on Ebay.
  16. All of these tips are appreciated and well received, thank you. I do charge extra on shipping costs for handling. It does take me time to cut cardboard (wish I had your option of cardboard co. cutting) and I really do try to make the comics protected. I package them like I would like to receive them. I recognize that people take into account "shipping" costs but don't take into account the & handling" part so I try to educate them in my listings. I also ship in bubblewrap mailers for added protection. You should be able to find a vendor locally in Bollermore or online for finding mailers for cheaper than retail. Thanks again.
