  1. Looks like somebody needs an X-men 8
  2. Jeez, no Harvey lovers here I see. The Little Dot cost twice as much as the Bugs Bunny. Though, the Bugs was an ebay BIN off of Kochcom. Even at twice guide, it was the first and last time I ever scored a deal off of him. Guide is just a joke on certain highgrade and/or key cartoon books. These are both examples.
  3. Four Color 88 (third Bugs Bunny) or Little Dot 6 (first Richie Rich cover)
  4. Not quite a giveaway nor maybe not a comic but it being from 1939 I figure it was worth a look.
  5. cap 10 cap 74 action 47 sucker for 9.0-9.2 GA
  6. From my personal collection. Which would you rather own. WDCS #1 CGC 5.0 White pages (no notes) Funnies 64 CGC 6.0 Off White pages (no notes) First Woody Woodpecker, Classic Cover. This is a tough one for me but I prefer the Funnies 64, perfect rare under the radar book, but both have great memorable covers. or
  7. Adventure 45. I just can't accept Extensive Resto, thats a Frankenbook and way too common on Supes #1. Cap 1
  8. The 2 best books from the son of a recently deceased Disney collector. He contacts me about every 6 months saying he picked up some more from storage. I drop what I'm doing and drive the two hours every time he calls. March of Comics is issue 41 "Race to South Seas" by Barks.
  9. Success though not as many as I hoped. There were a few other low value books as well. These are the 3 best. March of Comics is issue 41 "Race to South Seas" by Barks.
  10. While you are going through these can you answer this question. When Donald is printed fully in color, when does he go from having yellow feathers to white? His bill sort of gradually decreases in size but the feathers I assume is a one shot deal. I know in the Mickey Sundays he started with yellow feathers.
  11. Unreal Firestone. At the risk of jinxing myself, I have a lead on high grade Donald Duck MOC, Firestone, and Kite books.from a collector who bought these in the 60's. I'll no more Sunday, wish me luck.
  12. I will ban anybody who adds a Robin corner pose to this book.
  13. WDCS is a great line to collect. Never go out of style and they can be as tough or as easy as you want it to be. The #1 is a true key that will always impress and the single digits are tough as beans to even find. There are just enough minor keys like issue 22 31 88 98 134 140 so the guide looks interesting. Never fun to see the Richie Rich titles that have nothing to them for 200+ issues. Great stopping points if you don't want the whole line. 140 is an easy end point or 100 or 31 or just collect the Barks covers etc etc. Up until about 1950 the covers by Barks and Kelly are some of the best cartoon covers there are. Plus with millions produced they are the type of books that older non comic folks may even remember owning. Just a fun line with collectors in Europe out numbering collectors in America. Ed
  14. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this cover. Nothing. ArAich you must be very secure in your collecting. I'm afraid to ask what the pinup looks like.
  15. Here's the International Comics #1 also $50
  16. I'm a sucker for Golden Age books. Got a call from a guy that had 3 comics from the 40's. He wanted $200 for them and listed them as International Comics #1 Blondie 42 and Marines 3. I asked for a description of the books and he says its a flamethrower on an octopus. "is the cover still attached? any pieces missing?" No and no he says. So I drive an hour each way and here's what it was. I paid much less than $200 but kind of a waste of time. Then my scanner software dies so I am testing it on this sweet book. Still good to bring out this classic cover to the collecting community. There's everything to love about this book. Hari Cari rifle shot to the head panel and other massive Marine propoganda and one of the best war covers ever. I'd sell it for $50
  17. Aah yes, the HDL communist gloves cover
  18. I'm not even going to bother with the Mplace, I hope thats not an issue on this thread specifically. Free shipping tot he US Wyatt Earp #1 $22 Whiz 100 CGC 8.5 $275 Wonder Woman 21 CGC 7.0 $250
  19. No not a 30 cent variant but I would love to have it anyway how much . When i bought it, i did think it was a variant which would have been very cool. Still a sweet book in pretty decent grade. I'll send you a PM. Ed
  20. In my search for 30 cent variants I came across this beauty for $2.
  21. Not quite the GGA thats been posted but this #1 Atlas is more Teen Humor than Military. Kind of an esoteric find.
