Okay one more for the road...but promise more to come later! Last up for right now is a big one from a smoking hot title. Only 10 universal copies exist on the census right now, with the highest graded copy being an 8.5. This issue is in stunning high grade, and would be graded NM if not for the pesky stain on the bottom back cover (see spoilers). With that said, I still think this issue can give a run for the highest graded copy if submitted. I'm being a bit conservative grading-wise on this one... Crime Mysteries 11 VF+ $1449

Anyone interested in some Fawcett goodness? How about this fantastic Bernard Bailey demon cover! Love the look of sheer terror on good ol' checker pants. Only 10 universal issues exist on the census and a CGC 7.0 copy sold for $1300 just last year. Note the partial date stamp on back cover. Beware Terror Tales 5 FN+ $849

Next up is a fantastic Matt Baker cover and an under-appreciated issue from a hot run. Ghoulish coal miners are making a comeback I tell ya! Only 10 of these bad boys exist on the census. Some staple pull at the top (cover/CF still attached) and small stain on the back cover keep this beauty from grading higher. A 7.5 copy went on Clink for just a hair over $1k recently! Who is ready to get this show started? First up is a real rare one with only 7 copies on the census! One of my favorite precode horror titles. Some staple pull at the top, but cover and centerfold are both securely attached. 12 month GPA is close to $900 in 4.5 with a last sale of $1435 A 6.0 also went on Clink for $1901 recently. I listed a VG- copy for $500 on the boards last month that sold instantly. I had a feeling it may have been underpriced, but my loss was takebot's gain. I'm probably underpricing this copy as well, especially because it looks just as nice (if not nicer) than the CGC 4.5 copy that sold, but maybe I will learn my lesson if I can ever find a third copy of this diamond in the rough. I think the issue, and what started this conversation, is that a fellow boardie made a comment saying that a CGC 5.0 copy for 32k was a “good deal” when in reality that price is close to the current market for a marvel chipped copy in grade. Hardly a good deal... more like fmv. A 5.0 with no chipping recently went for +40k, so in comparison it definitely does look like a good deal. Calling this book ugly may be taking things a little too far, but to each their own. For me, a book with tape, rusted staples, or brittle pages would be less desirable than a marvel chipped copy. I do know though, for most collectors, that marvel chipping does detract from the overall presentation of the book which shows in the varying price points for books in the same grade.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but was either issue above ever resolved with the buyer? @dinesh_s posted that he would purchase two comics of mine in a sales thread from 7/22 and after a couple of PM’s (the last one of which he has read) I am still awaiting a response as to when I can expect payment. He even purchased other comics on the boards from another seller after I had messaged him. I have sold to him before and I don’t remember there ever being any issues, but I just find it strange that he read my PM and did not respond to it.

From Phantom Witches to some Witchcraft. Only 19 copies on the census with a 6.0 recently selling for just north of $1700 on Clink. This one looks great in hand! Has a 1.75 inch spine split in the middle and a top staple with a little rust. Everything is still intact and cover/centerfold are attached. Witchcraft 4 VG+ $750
