  4. The Good: Classic Jack Cole cover and art. One of my favorite PCH covers of all time. Cover and centerfold are attached tightly at both staples. Inside paper looks OW-W which is a pleasant surprise for a book that is 64 years old. The Bad: 1 inch spine split at the top FC. Not sure if the ink on the spine is distributor spray or not? Not sure how much CGC would hammer for something like that. Some kid got a little sneaky and decided to pencil in the lady in reds "you-know-what" on the back cover. Otherwise a solid book! Let me know what you all think!
  5. Just got this in. Beautiful copy in hand. OW/W pages. Curious to see what you all think!
  6. No creases at all on the bottom right corner!
  7. You are correct. There is a small color breaking crease on the top left corner and a bindery tear on the bottom left corner.
  8. Thanks for the feedback! I'm hoping CGC doesn't hammer the tanning too hard as structurally I think it is a fantastic comic.
  9. Any thoughts? Wondering if this one is worth sending in. Not sure how much CGC will hammer the tanning though. Appreciate the feedback!
  10. One of my favorite covers of all time! Surprised there are only 10 issues on the CGC census. Maybe I should submit this one and make it 11. Chip on the bottom back cover makes me a sad panda
  11. Tanning and a chip on the bottom FC are the two biggest flaws on this sweet SA first appearance. Curious to see what you all think this would grade out at!
  12. I dropped off some books for onsite grading in Baltimore on 09/23. Wasn't able to make it back to the show in time to pick them up unfortunately and was told by CGC they would be reaching out to me within 1 week to coordinate shipment of the books. Close to 1 month later and multiple phone calls on my part, and CGC is still saying that the books are in transit back to them in Sarasota. Anyone else run into this issue with books they submitted at the show? Supposedly they had a shipping pallet that got stuck in MD and I have heard no updates since last week. At this point, the price I paid for onsite grading wasn't even worth it considering the time frame some of these fast track subs are moving for others
  13. There is a very small crease in the top left corner of the back cover that doesn't show up well on the scan. Otherwise, I think this is a very solid book. Curious to see what you all think!
  14. Any thoughts as to what a first print #1 in 9.8 would go for in todays market? Looking at the census there only seems to be 5 blue label 9.8 copies in total out of less than 100 copies graded. Is there any demand left for this series?
  15. I equate it similarly to this: Marvel Super-Heroes 13 = First Appearance of Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel 1 = First Appearance of Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel
  16. What if the shiller is an accomplice of the sellers with no real intention to purchase the book and instead is helping him pump it? At least ebay doesn't allow you to see other offers until the auction has actually ended. Any potential buyer will now perceive the comic as a minimum 40k book. I'm sure there are even more shills on these sites that go un-flagged on a regular basis that are being schemed by shady people. Okay, time to take my tin foil hat off...
  17. What are the odds that these public offers are no more than just shills to drive up the perceived value of the book?
  18. PGM Fantastic Four 4 Nice copy besides all the staining. Curious to see what you all think.
  19. Thanks for the responses so far. Definitely think this book could benefit from a clean. @BuscemasAvengers you are correct that is a corner ding on the back cover. The front cover also has a small ding on the lower right corner.
  20. PGM Marvel Graphic Novel 4 Book is glossy in hand. Scans don't do the black cover justice. Will try to take some pics to show the gloss on the front/back cover when I can.
  21. Maybe they thought it could hit a 9.8 if they subbed it
