I just find it strange that the comic is on fire, but the Novel it's based on first editions are worthless. I read the first novel and the TV show did a spot on job keeping it close. I personally will watch the show, but long term I will avoid paying anything big for these issues as I just have this gut feeling or should I say Pain in the neck

Let's just say at this point in time I've seen all original Star Wars at the movies when they were released. Same with all the Jaws' films. I just wish I would have not seen Jar Jar and Jaws the Revenge. Jaws 4 would have been more bearable if he ate Jar Jar I guess.

Livewire's ship sailed and sank. A 50.00 dollar book is still a healthy profit, but id expect you can pick one up fo 20ish by August end. Deathstroke first and all rarer appearances will be more sought after as we move into fall season. Character is still undervalued and deadpool collectors are picking up deathstoke appearances and jumping on board DC train lately. I can see NTT2 being a 2 to 3 hundred dollar book in raw in a year.

So i am betting that once the movie comes out there will be some big demand in the following Strange tales issues.

110 - No explanation necessary (Already in demand and hot)

115 - Origin story (Sleeper lots of room to grow)

126 - First Clea and Dormmamu (Picking up heat the past year)

138 - First Eternity (Huge Sleeper)

157 - 158 - First and Full Living Tribunal - (Huge Sleeper also)

And of course Dr Strange 169 - Own Series (In demand and hot)

yeah last weekend I was at a show and a kid came to the table I was working at and went to one of the three walls. Saw a Sonic #0 and just stood there staring.

 

I said "can I help you with anything"

 

"oh man, Oh man, I just I just don't know"

 

He was wearing a Sonic shirt

 

So I said "oh you want to see this?" and showed him the Sonic #0 to which he replied

 

"oh man I just never expected to see this here. A sonic comic book?"

 

Moral of the story - Sonic fans don't care about the comics and its a very finite fan base. A sonic movie sounds cool but in reality it going to be panned towards 4 - 10 year olds. Movie news will in no way effect the comics value.

Superman Adventures 20 first appearance of Volcana - another sleeper coming to 52. Costume has Cosplay written all over it.

Preacher 13 - First Herr Starr is going to be the major baddie for the show, think Governor but more then 2 seasons. I've been gobbling these up whenever I can see them at a decent price. However most dealers and shops are charging $75+

Once the show hits, this will be the second most expensive issue in the set, and just trail issue 1.

Obviously not a trend yet, but that is a new high for the book and it was only listed for a few days. Relatively low number of copies listed for a modern ASM book at the moment.

 

I've been buying these. I didn't realize it was #471 I always thought of it as vol2 #30. That JSC and JMS run was pretty spectacular...I mean Amazing
