  1. Full article as I am finally sitting down after eating dinner and having been at work all day. I cannot believe they are pushing everything back like this... again. I wonder if it would have made sense to do another Disney release on the Plus channel and release another movie almost back to back to get people excited. The longer you delay the less, not more, interest is directed toward the project. At this point ... seriously? He will be 82. Rumor has them playing around with facial CGC changes due to a time travel plot. Whatevs... https://www.thewrap.com/doctor-strange-2-marvel-films-move/
  2. Let us not forget the facts: Books received by CGC and graded 9.6 or better only to be encapsulated with an entire section of the cover folded over itself in the process. So that tells me that it was fine when it left the graders hands as they assessed it at a 9.8 so no problem there. Sometime between leaving the hands of the grader and being sealed the books were damaged. I keep seeing book after book after book after book after book with damage like that. That a major problem and I have a box of books that I want to send down worth quite a bit that I would love to send down. If they are backlogged and quality control is lacking for whatever the reason be it fatigue, rushing books through the process, then I have no interest in taking the risk with them for the time being until I see a decrease in these problems.
  3. This is what happens when you hang out too much with Machine Gun Kelly I guess.
  4. I’m back on the train bay bay! When I jumped off, I had a bucket full of thoughts When I first jumped off, I held that bucket in my hand Ideas that would take me all around the world I stood and watched the smoke behind the mountain curl It took me a long time to get back on the train Now I'm gone and I'll never look back again I'm gone and I'll never look back at all You know I'll never look back again I turn my face into the howlin' wind It took me a long time to get back on the train See my face in the town that's flashing by See me standing at the station in the rain See me running there beside the car I left it all behind, again I'll travel far It took me a long time to get back on the train When I jumped off, I had a bucket full of thoughts When I first jumped off, I held that bucket in my hand Ideas that would take me all around the world I stood and watched the smoke behind the mountains curl It took me a long time to get back on the train It took me a long time to get back on the train It took me a long time to get back on the train
  5. Those that remain could cash in and be comfortable and they could at least say he’s finally relaxing 😂. One of my coworkers told me the other day that he would hang himself at “that” tree pointing to it so they would see it from one of the windows and always remember 😂. I love what I do not the entity I work for. 3177
  6. Too late I’m in the subway as I type and am headed home.
  7. I walked away from him too. It was impressive that he brought those things like silver spiderman… but the price ?
  8. First version … yes - that came out in 2007 I believe… it was an after work party decision that involved too much alcohol. It was a surprise when it arrived. 😂
  9. I had mentioned it previously in a few threads whenever people discussed problems and issues regarding CGC's encapsulation and the long turnaround times. That due to turnaround times, and the issues occurring in the encapsulation room that I was no longer confident in sending in books to CGC. For every problem that we see pop up online I am sure there are issues that go unnoticed or are not widely recognized nor reported. I ate the $150 credit by not sending books in last year and have chosen not to renew unless I see improvement in the product / service that I am supposedly paying for.
  10. Side note I am in a virtual meeting right now where I would sell almost anything if there was a massive power outage across NYC to end this thing right now.
  11. I sold off my Batman collection to pay off the remainder of student loans and my car loan along with a bunch of longboxes from a comic store that had closed. With the leftover money I bought an AF15 in 3.5 for around $5000 and the Lego Death Star. I sold off a bunch of things to add to the down payment of the house like a copy of Avengers 8 in an 8.0 for around $400-500 at the time. I forget. I don't regret it because selling that allowed me to build up a war chest for something more important.
  12. Saw some guy walking away with this from the Train Station Parking Lot Flea Market. (I go once or twice a year) Not on the job? Want to be? Now you too can pretend you are a LEO.
  13. It's even a better time to pick up a bottle of Teramana
  14. I am still locked out on my phone. I cannot sign in at all as it continues to take me to the main advertising page.
  15. I never cared about Thor until he reached the MCU and Hemsworth showed off what Thor could be. I have a feeling that this is about to be the first time in my life I cared about Hawkman. If this translates to the screen the way this image suggests, Hawkman is about get more from one movie than he has in the last fifty years. As was said, Johnson's does not do anything half heartedly. So just by attaching his name to the project, this became a movie that deserved attention. I also look forward to a national tour with shots of Teramana Tequila being handed out to the fans.
  16. Agreed. I was specific in saying superhero books. In fact I originally started to type (stoooooopidly) a blanket statement of "Golden Age" and then added superhero once EC Comics popped into my head. Many of those EC precode horror, crime and even most of the sci-fi stories hold up with some of the best episodic television of the day like the Twilight Zone.
  17. Aside from that... the majority of golden age and atomic age superhero comics are hokey and infantile in both concept and dialogue. If anyone were to talk about books being bought FOR the cover, I would say Golden Age. I think people romanticize a lot of the writing that went on back then. Today's writers are creating stories where their competition is video games, tv and all sorts of media. Golden Age books had a lot of disposable and forgettable stories to them as the genre itself was not taken seriously.
  18. You seem to have a lot of problems with casting. Perhaps it is best for you to retreat to your bunker.
