  1. No one should have to publicly post a picture of their face on here if they do not want to. Sorry but no. This is becoming a bit much though. Does anyone really think that Danny would come here and participate on the boards for four years and pull a long con like this? And this is all because JJJ said that a few of the items that Kelly's Superheroes has are legit?
  2. A lot of people do. I just can't be bothered with certain things.
  3. When you get rid of the lowballers... you are only met with serious buyers.
  4. And somehow I laugh at those offers and sell it at full ask anyway. Talking about FB though. There was a Hobbit set I offered here for $255. I just sold and collected $315 shipped for it while someone else is lecturing me about how I should accept their offer of $230 shipped. I just keep saying, "I understand." I have a friend like you. He often finds himself seriously disappointed when he meets people like me. I ignore a lot of offers and just price things competitively against others. As I wrote someone the other day, "I could offer this to you for free and you would still ask for a better deal." The item sold. Then they realized that they screwed up and wanted it. So... offer schmoffer. Some things I am willing to listen to others I laugh at.
  5. Hold on... I have to keep entertaining someone who is lecturing me that my price is too high on something and why I should accept their ask while someone else is actively purchasing the same item at full ask. BRB. @kav Different venue... same stories.
  6. Like when Methos posed as a Watcher on Highlander back in the 90's ?
  7. Who was @BUGAB00-migration @BUGAB0O-migration @BUGABO0-migration @Bugaboo-migration @Bugapoo-migration again?
  8. I would say that there is a point that EVERYTHING is eventually for sale. Cannot take it with you. With that said... This was a book I had slabbed for my personal collection... because it is my favorite cover in the Ditko run and I wanted an ASM label. I have a 9.0 Blue, 9.0 Purple and a few undercopies but the 8.5 looks dang near sexy with the Spider-man label.
  9. Hi Ruth, a lot of the books you show here do not have much value unless they are a 9.8 which looks almost as if it never left the printing press. As I am sure you can see, the majority of these books have defects here and there. Even the smallest scratch or waviness or blunting on the cover can lower the grade. At that point because the print runs on these books are so great, they only command value if they are in that extremely high 9.6-9.8 grade. At that point it is not worth the price of slabbing them. It's a cool find because it is always fun to find something 'cool' tucked away by the previous owner when you buy a house but unfortunately there is nothing worth grading there amongst the books that you have shown us.
  10. I just realized... okay... so here on Lawng Eye-land we named a whole bunch of towns after Native American tribes, chiefs, leaders and words for things. Good luck... Massapequa = Mass - ah - pee - kwah. (Say it as one word no pause) Patchogue = Patch - awg Copiague = Co-payg Wantagh = Wan - taw Syosset = Psi - ahset Have some fun with these: Ronkonkoma Quogue Nissequogue Asharoken
  11. Last I heard Kelly's superheroes lives in Massapequa.
  12. Wait... so Danny is no longer living in a town on Long Island but is now residing in New Jersey?
  13. Nah... at first I thought you were referring to Morrissey... Then I saw what you meant when I looked up the phrase... I just liked the avatar. It seemed terribly obnoxious and seemed to fit the current theme of the boards lately. For the future, I am referring to this for anyone that sees this message once I change my avatar again...
  14. I've thought about this and I would like a copy but... something else.
  15. Meanwhile... new Fonki Cheff hip hop DJ session dropped...
  16. My hometown is always in the news ... it's ridiculous
  17. So do we know why the lurkers don't post? I visit this website every day for some toy news and have been a member since 2007... I have only posted 159 times in 14 years.
  18. Gather round kids... It's storytime with Uncle Buzzetta Bay Baaaaaaay ! Time for a good one... so this was like twenty years ago. There was this guy in town who owned six homes on one block and would rent most of them out but then use one as a party house. The owner of these six homes was later charged with many drug related crimes and got himself in a jam when after being abusive to his wife, a friend of mine, he later threatened the kids. She called the Nassau County PD and they found an over abundance of firearms in the home behind a wall, somehow all registered, and that he had been lending his vehicles out to drug dealers. So in one of the homes there was a party. One of the guys decided to engage in, ahem, relations with his girlfriend but asked his best friend to join them once they started doing whatever drugs they were doing. The one guy who initiated it wakes up from his drug haze and thought his best friend was taking advantage of his girlfriend. He pulls a gun and shoots the guy. Then the dog. Why? Dunno. The police found him walking down the street in his underwear. So what happens? He wants to trade off some knowledge for some goodwill from the DA. He then in turn lets them know about a dead body that had been buried in the woods. It turns out that his girlfriend's mother poisoned her own boyfriend, and asked the daughter and this guy, the daughter's boyfriend to help get rid of the body. What is the moral of the story? Remember that there are a lot of New Yorkers that eventually retire or move to Florida. Wait until we are all down there.
  19. I did that last Sunday night with Lego. I removed some things from here and added six additional small sets. Instantly generated $500 and made after fees the same as I would have on eBay... without having to deal with eBay.
