I do not. If the original creator is signing it then so be it. I said so much the other day actually. If Siegel and Schuster were alive today and there was only one copy of Action Comics 1 in existence and the owner wanted them to sign it. So be it. EDIT: I also had no problem with Stan Lee signing any book featuring a character he created regardless of whether or not he worked on the book. The uproar is kind of a big shrug for me and I am not even a guy that goes around and collects signatures to any large degree.

DaVinci signed the Mona Lisa. There is a difference between signing and damage. Is Action Comics 1 an artifact more than a comic book? Possibly. To be honest, Action Comics 1 might be the only comic I consider an "artifact". But as distasteful as it is to some around here to see someone say it. The sun will still rise tomorrow. I would say, 'that's a shame' and then think about the rest of my day.

I don't think you are being a jerk. I DO think you are defining a collection by your standards. If someone is just chasing first appearances then their collection is of Marvel 1st appearances. I have an X-Men 1 and I have no desire nor intention to pick up any of the others. But I also have an AF15, ST110 and a bunch of others because I collect ASM and Marvel 1st Appearances. In my registry set I have another book that is the only entry of it's category because while I do not collect that title, I like collecting EC covers that appeal to me. I know someone that only has 1 comic book. They actually do have a Hulk 181 because they like Wolverine. They also have Wolverine statues, action figures and original art. A collection is defined by the person collecting and what their particular interest is.

@followtheleader pointed out that I have been registered here for 10 years since 2011. I actually started reading the boards on a regular basis after NYCC 2010 I was actually told about the boards but one of the class of 2002 guys as a resource and would visit once in a while if it came up in a search. This place has sucked my life away. I feel old.

I am curious as to why the owners of these items should care about whether or not it irritates you and why you are irritated with how other people spend their money? Why are you getting irritated over something that you are not planning to buy or own then?

I love it how other people Out of curiosity were you in the market for one that was unsigned ? I don't have one to sell nor do I even own a copy of it but I am curious. As Jay said this was on Instagram for the past few days from Torpedo comics because Dolmayan wanted it. It's Dolmayan's book to do with as he pleases. He wants a signed copy. More power to him.

You can find better raw and then submit it yourself.

I was going to say... Most anything above a 7.0 on issue 11 seems tougher to find and the price increases steadily.

I don't think that is the case. They would not 'intentionally' make it a mess. They would either turn the switch on or off.
