Down to ASM and not even that. In order to get those I wait around 5-6 months and put up a WTB ad for current issues. Nobody is going to pull 1 book for me even if it comes out twice a month, and my life and schedule does not allow me the time to go driving miles away on new comics day to make sure I get that ASM title. If I do that, it becomes 'work'. Once I no longer see any value in it, then it all ends.

I think I like the Sinatra card more. However, I think that if there is a series of these I should get an order through a card company then submit them to CGC to grade. Then I can wait for them to come back and complain during the interim about the TAT.

That's a smart choice. There was a guy years ago who could not understand how others around here could buy books that had a higher dollar value. Then he revealed that he was spending almost $100 a week in new books. If anyone wants to collect moderns and spend $100 a week to read current issues, then more power to them. But if they are looking to find the cash to support buying a larger purchase once in awhile, maybe it's time to get a Marvel Unlimited App, be six months behind at a fraction of that cost and buy that big book you want.

With only ASM on my buy list, I can absorb a price increase and that is only to maintain the collection. Eventually though it will come to an end.

Points can only be generated from a locked thread once. So, use this case for an example. That thread is locked and the score has been recorded. It will be unlocked eventually. Even if it gets locked again, no future points may be awarded. It is now considered a dead thread. If a thread is locked and eventually poofed, a score may be generated between the lock and the poof so long as I can record it in time, which has happened on several occasions. I am usually notified through text or PM about the locks. IBTL no longer generates a negative. Ain't nobody got time to go back and calculate that foolishness. Mods do not get score unless they are posting as "civilians." Usually a mod will shut it down as a mod so that is a moot issue. However, if one finds themselves in the last three and someone else shuts it down then they win some movement on the leaderboard. A "Dena lock" is special as we know that when the Den Mother shuts that thread down you all done goofed. She gets the auto +3 as an honorary thing, and then the next three behind her get +3, +2, +1. I am racing out again soon...

I think that it will be a learning curve for many of you and it will be overly disruptive for you all to start buying and selling here. THAT IS NOT YOUR FAULT THOUGH... Whenever a new member starts to buy and sell, they are obviously unfamiliar with the board selling rules. There are many obvious ones such as: Do not ask for friends and family Do not add PayPal fees List a return policy Among others... So when a newer member starts to sell, they usually experience some growing pains, not due to anything about them personally but due to their unfamiliarity as to how to operate within that set of rules. Now if it is one or two members the overall disruption is minimal and is dealt with and corrected. But... every single one of the card collectors would be a newer seller and would experience these growing pains to some degree. When many experience smaller issues, then all of them combined would cause a larger disruption in the beginning.

You are really having too much fun with all of this. What are you going to do if and after they get their own dedicated CGC forum and marketplace?
