  1. “Alexa count down 50 minutes...” I wound up grabbing that ASM 20 100 pg reader though late last night... couldn’t sleep and I was in bed with the phone... looking forward to see what comes up...
  2. I’m not bidding. I already own a few copies of this and in higher grade.
  3. 2.0 - 2.5 if you are lucky. However, given that the staple is popped and the centerfold detached along with the fact that this is a "ho-hum" ASM book, I would want to price it below the competition and get out from underneath it. A key book with those defects will still sell due to the desirability of the key. A common book such as this ASM 35 will just garner a shrug unless it is underpriced, because I can always find a better condition book for a little bit more.
  4. oh no... I wasn't trying to buy yours even if you had it. As soon as I typed it I ran to eBay and started saving a few on my watchlist. I have $18 in eBay bucks I have to burn by the end of the month. I like to pick up the train and subway and death on the subway covers.
  5. I have to be honest. I do not plan on buying more than a handful... I am ... going after something. It is not a grail but it is a white whale. I knocked one of my white whales off my list last year with the Tec 87 purchase. I want another one that keeps evading me.
  6. Yeah yeah yeah.... you had me buying a bunch of these... cheaper than the EC's but just as good. That was my last pickup that arrived this week... ordered back in the beginning of December
  7. I am highly amused by these Strange Adventures books. The stories are like mini Twilight Zone / B Movie nonsense covers. I enjoy them.
  8. I went to a school where some of us... decades later still send each other text messages with some of the crazy things that a certain priest and some of the brothers would say in class... Everything I want to post about what some of them said and did ... I already know I cannot post what they said and did I posted one once before... Student: Science sucks ! Brother: "Gentleman, science neither sucks nor blows, if it did everyone would want to become a scientist." Father Ernest was ... I cannot even post some of the things he said... too funny.
  9. This would explain the dynamic between you and I. I think I have mentioned this before, my formative years were primarily influenced by the Marianists... "Dear boys, this is a Marianist school. We may be crazier than everyone else but not as crazy the Jesuits. Put that in your pipe and smoke it ya bad kids."
  10. I was in there as Buzzetta... did some guys go in there? That's hilarious.
  11. I just rolled my eyes at GoCollect... Right now if you go on twitch there are two guys pimping books. "The Collector's Showcase" So they are holding and showing off 9.0's 9.2's at best and giving 9.8 graded prices. So for example they said that a copy of Avengers 8 sold for $45,000... Go Collect reports that sale for 2015. The last GPA sale shows a 9.8 sold in October of 2019 for $16,500. They were a little taken aback and said that they were looking at actual sales. Said, so am I... Said good night... and moved on. Why am I bringing this up? Where exactly is go collect getting its data from? Because if GoCollect 'sales' are inflated... you all have a big problem on your hands.
  12. I think I could make a whole Honeymooner's episode about this...
  13. What is the appropriate amount of time given the situation to contact the seller? I have not seen any movement in almost a month. I am understanding but at a point I have to protect my interests.
  14. Sooo... I kind of regretted selling Luke's X-Wing... I had one of the earlier BMF versions from 2002 which was one of the first ships they made more in scale in comparison to the Kenner version that had been reused and reused since 1978. These ships had come a long way and I really wanted an upgrade. Even though this is the Rise of Skywalker version this is a completely new tooling with new features on the X-Wing not seen on any of the other vehicles. The landing gears are articulated... the detailing on the underbelly... The body fits R2 or BB8 style droids and was molded in a way that it fits with ease. I just had BB8 handy for this one but you can take a look at the JediTempleArchives pictures for an R2- droid in the socket. I took a bunch of pics before it went on the shelf in the man cave / basement but then I realized that there were better galleries online as it was out for a year. It retails for $100 but I was able to score one for $70 with some patience. https://www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=JReviews&rop=showcontent&id=3788
  15. I have been replacing a few figures. The ones on the left are from ten years ago. The ones on the right are the newer versions with the photo real applications that Hasbro has been using on the 6" line. As you can see Lando now looks less like Groucho Marx and more like Billy Dee. The Walmart "Black Series" reintroduced the Vintage Collection sculpts with new paint apps back in 2015-2016. It was kind of a test run for the return to the Vintage Collection line. I already put them away for now, so I apologize for the pic for now but the Han and Luke sculpts are far superior in that they even have separate Stormtrooper bodies. While Han has his blaster and holster, the back of Luke's belt shows the utility cable that he used to swing across the Death Star chasm. I have been very impressed with what they are doing these days. Enough... that I wanted to replace some of the things I sold and upgrade a couple of things I always wanted to keep.
  16. Those are all 3 3/4" versions. Each of them are the best that they have offered. So that was the Ackbar 3 3/4" from 2017 released as a Walmart exclusive. The Landos were 3 3/4" using the 6" photo real tech.
  17. Mail call ! The Roadblock and Scarlett are two of the best GI Joes I have seen in awhile. The Lando's are to replace the ten year old versions I have. These are so much better detailed. The paint sculpts are just eye opening. Mandolorian in Beskar is staying carded in case I get the Walmart exclusives actually sent to me. And Poe is waiting for his X-Wing which I broke down and picked up after seeing an unavoidable deal online.
