1st appearance Calvin Ellis debate
Buzzetta replied to tylerindo's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Right, because if there are infinite universe and infinite Earths, in your world of butthurt, it makes sense that every Superman in every one of those infinite Earths is white. Sorry mods, someone had to say it. -

I've seen #2 before... In 2017, a Toy Designer (later denounced as a 'freelance' artist by Hasbro) included a political message on the side of one of the Transformers that year in "transformer language / Cybertronian". Upon discovery by Hasbro, there was a running change on the figure where the political message was erased for future releases. What made it more problematic was that this was specifically a Transformers toy marketed and set at a price point for kids. This was not a masterpiece figure or a higher end toy geared toward the adult collector market.

At some points storage no longer matters as they simply break down. At some point it really has nothing to do with storage but that these children's toys were never designed with a purpose to be preserved. This is the article that was referenced before: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/28/science/plastics-preservation-getty.html -

Only thing I have for this thread is a spoiler alert since I feel like I have seen this thread before. So for the newer members here we go. -

There is a new Vintage Collection style Ahsoka and Darth Maul from the final season of Clone Wars solicited. I missed the reveal and preorder on Hasbro Pulse and was hoping to see them offered through Amazon preorder but... given the popularity of the final season and Ahsoka in general, I figured it was worth spending the extra $2 each and locking them in at BBTS. BBTS is still taking preorders on them. Entertainment Earth has them for $12.99 each but it works out to be cheaper through BBTS given the $4 flat shipping fee vs $10 and change for USPS through EE. I also like their pile of loot option so I let them hold onto things for me until I must ship and add a few things here and there shipping it all for a flat $4. @mr_highgrade -
Has this happened before? An ASM 361 cover rejected, but saved?

What about the FF52 cover that Cool Lines has? -
I thought the same thing too and I constantly monitor what is eligible for me to 'send an offer' One of the things I noticed is that watchers are not always paying attention when I run a sale but do seem to get a more attention grabbing alert when I send an offer. Sometimes things go without a response and in other times they have sold within minutes of me making the offer. I figure it doesn't hurt.

Longest spell was sometime after I finished my ASM run with a majority of raw books and a handful of slabs. I only picked up ASM on a monthly basis to maintain the collection and actually started selling off everything non-ASM except for 1st appearances and Eternal Warrior. I think that was sometime around 2001? 2002? I think I made two non-ASM purchases between that time period and 2010 which was a Hulk 181 and an Avengers 4 currently a 9.0 and 6.0 respectively. In 2010 I returned to actively collecting.

Thank you gentlemen... It's something very specific to what I like to collect and I have only found two other pages in the run of pages I am looking for. This is actually only the third one I have ever tracked down. I am going to ask him to leave it blank so I don't want to jinx myself and post what it is yet in the event that I do not actually get it.

He does not seem to have written a sales thread since late 2019. That means that there has been plenty of time for XXXX's, slaps, and mowing that everyone here should have partaken in.

As the title says: Bought a page of art from a seller in Spain. The seller requests my ID for the Spanish customs form. Anyone have experience with this? What do I give him? I figured that since it was art and also because some of you all chase art from people around the world, that someone might be able to offer some advice. I am unwilling to provide the actual numbers to my NY State driver's license ID. I don't think that is a good idea. @jaybuck43 @jsilverjanet

Please list their name in the eBay threads in comics general... There are a few people that would block someone like this. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/328716-ebay-blocked-user-list/page/355/#comments -
There was the time a certain comic artist went nuts and had a meltdown tearing up all of the commissioned art that he owed people...

Write the Twitter guy, “Because in an alternate reality Spider-Man is a hero.” supposedly there is another big reveal coming in the multiverse... don’t know if it is true or not...
