  1. Again, not true. But hey, you keep holding on to your self manufactured data that you cannot support.
  2. I really don't think it hurts sales at all to tell the truth. If I get a guy that is being dishonest and it ruins his experience with me that he never wants to shop with me again... then good. I was looking at some examples in the email folder where I file these things. In those cases, I was more than happy to simply have the customer go away and never want to come back ever again.
  3. I agree that he has. However, the same type of mentality has existed in almost every film ever made. I am by no means making an excuse for it or justifying it. However, in almost every movie that are now revered as classics there exist some of the above mentions incidents that Gibson has exhibited. We have talked about James Bond for example and that in itself is a character that is created on a foundation of misogyny with one of the most famous incidents being that of the "man talk" incident depicted in Goldfinger. Look at comic books where the majority of which are also depicting women in a negative like. There is a lot of good but also a lot of bad. I am not telling you what to do but I do notice a lot of selective outrage. Gibson has done and said some horrible things. I believe that there was probably worse that was said that never saw the light of day. However, I also believe that he has the creative talent to say something that I can view and be critical of in a manner that still understands that he may be a vile person that created something of interest and of discussion and may also provoke others into thought to bring about progress.
  4. I dunno... I see it as comic / superhero related. Cowboys and westerns were superheroes before Superman with the Western genre as almost having eradicated superhero comics from existence during the 1950's. The western has always involved very similar concepts that our modern day spandex tales often relate to. They usually consist of an ordinary person being put into an extraordinary circumstance or a person with a special skill (fasted gun in the west) being put to the test. The original Magnificent Seven could be considered a movie not unlike the Avengers where you have seven people coming together to help fight injustice. I'm cool with westerns being included in this as a genre.
  5. Buying an extra at a cheap price to eventually resell is not a horrible risk on my end. At $35 I would like to have one of these at home, and if I am stuck with the other one, I have no problem tossing it on my desk or shelf at work. But at the end of the day, most people around the world will be unaware of this sale or will have missed out realizing that the sale existed after the inventory has been dissolved. I pass this information along here but I am under no obligation to pass that information along to the rest of the world. If the original price was $110, then I have no problem listing it up on eBay, with a willingness to ship it worldwide at a price that allows me to keep my Vader for free. But, again, if it doesn't sell, then I have one for home and I like it enough to toss on my desk at work. This concerns items that are still available. This also pertains to items that I have no problem to resell that were widely known to be available much cheaper at one point and then resell them for a higher price. It's funny, I recently had a similar question from a buyer on eBay concerning a piece of jewelry. They quoted to me the clearance price of a piece of jewelry from the website of the designer. She was absolutely right that it was available for much cheaper at one point but now, the piece was no longer available. If she wanted the piece she had to pay a premium above that price. She passed. The piece sold anyway. The original buyer came back and picked up a different piece fully aware of the circumstances because they realized that if they wanted it, that is the price.
  6. I agree with that. I was entertained by the Magnificent 7 remake. I think Gibson is very capable of making entertaining and thought provoking movies. I want to see what he has to say about the western genre.
  7. Beast Kingdom Egg Attack Figures - Ridiculously Cheap from reputable source - BlueFin Passing this along to everyone... I only own two of these guys... I picked up the Iron Man figure at NYCC last year for half off at $55 I believe, and I preordered the Boba Fett that comes out this fall... Beast Kingdom's Egg Attack series is about 6" tall and have that oversized head smaller body type of construction. Currently on sale: Captain America Age of Ultron - Original $110 - Currently $35 Iron Man Mark 43 - Original $130 - Currently $35 Thor AOU - Original $110 - Currently $35 You get the idea... 8. In order to light up there must be some form of plastic in a few of the components... ergo... Plastic Crack
  9. I bought the Tec 164 Fridge magnet. It's a fantastic cover and I own a copy of the book. Perfect excuse to show off the fridge magnets !
  10. Sigh... I finally own one again... hopefully I didn't overpay by too much.
  11. Sigh... $170 - 10% ebay bucks... I own one again... To the China cabinet it goes.
  12. Oh I was buying not selling. However I went away on Saturday and Sunday and wasn’t able to list a bunch of things you might have needed.
  13. Last night I negotiated something I wanted that a seller listed for $100 with free shipping down to $80 free shipping... Not a total loss since it rarely comes up and I keep telling myself that someone else would have grabbed it first.
  14. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being frugal with your spending. There is no need to buy things just for the sake to say you are buying something or actively pursuing things. When the right item comes along you will go after it.
  15. After receiving it, I didn't post again for seconds.
  16. Ohhh... I was talking about Sparkle City...
  17. It would be nice if you could actually find these things though. BTW... It is nice (and amusing) to see the Chinese vendors are now bootlegging 3rd Party Unlicensed Transformers. Anyone remember some of those 3rd Party Unlicensed Devastator's that were retailing for $350-$400? They were masterpiece size... Anyway... I have started to see them pop up for under $100.
  18. What a jerk... and seriously I would like to see the screen caps because I cannot believe someone would be so stupid as to write that publicly. Why would ANYONE want to deal with this guy whether it be on Facebook Comic groups or anywhere else?
  19. Well he used to be, but is no longer, a member of https://www.facebook.com/groups/comicbookcollectingbuyselltrade/?ref=group_header Where is he posting his comic book nonsense?
  20. Adding another replica to the garage. Fun fact: there may or may not be genuine NYC street signs from the 1970’s and 1960’s in the garage. This would help camouflage them when the door is open.
  21. I think I have run out of things to buy... Thought about picking up a Mego Spider-man or a couple of other things but... NYCC is in about two weeks and I want to do some plastic crack and nonsense shopping around there.
