  1. Hasbro Toy Shop is selling items on eBay and some of them are cheaper than they are on their own website AND they are offering free shipping. I picked out a Transformer but here is a listing for all of their Marvel Universe figures: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Comic-Book-Heroes/158671/m.html?item=222026112423&_ssn=hasbro-toy-shop&_sop=15
  2. nope. he'd see that you outbid him, and that the lot was now bid up to ___(whatever)___. He wouldnt/couldnt know that the amount was the top of your bid. Not entirely true. If he bid $44 then saw that the winning bidder was leading by 41¢ he knows what the top bid is and then has the option of outbidding the top bidder or walking away. I have done this as recently as this past weekend. I bid a certain amount. Turned out I pushed the winning bidder to his max and then I walked away to hit the BIN on the same item from another seller. The BIN was cheaper than what the top bidder was willing to pay apparently. This meant the top bidder in the auction paid more than what I did for the other BIN listing. (This was an action figure).
  3. Are you out of your mind? "Principle" 1 - Don't bid so high then. 2 - How is this the seller's fault? 3 - You had best run from any auction that you are competing with me on then. I have no problem trying to guess how my competition (because that is what you are) is bidding so I can gauge early on whether I want to outbid you at the close, whether I want to hit the BIN on another listing, or whether it is for another two reasons I will not publicly discuss that both benefit me in trying to secure the item I am looking for.
  4. Starting to open up my mail from the last week and a half. Don't ask... I've been busy and let it pile up. This bad boy was in the mix. Hasbro has seemingly abandoned making modern releases with full articulation of the classic Dinobots. Third party unlicensed vendors have created their own molds based off the Hasbro / Takara intellectual property and have fully engineered high quality plastic crack on par or of better quality than Hasbro / Takara have produced. Toy World of Japan is one such company that makes high quality "transforming figures". These companies escape (I guess) litigation by not placing Autobot or Decepticon marks on their robots. So... I always loved Snarl and since Hasbro has not modernized it... I picked up a Toy World Roar figure designated TW-D01. I also threw in an original Snarl for a size comparison. I have to say, this thing is sturdy and has some weight to it. It is marketed as an adult collectable toy but it is sturdier than the stuff marketed to kids. It carries a heftier price tag than Hasbro mass releases but there is definitely a higher quality thing going on. Item is fully articulated and able to bend at the knees, hips, waist, arms, neck, swivel arm battle grip elbows and hands. It has ankle articulation as well as shoulder articulation allowing for the arms to swivel up and down and in and out. There are a lot of poses this thing can make.
  5. Principal shooting began today (5/26/16) in Cuba http://news.tfw2005.com/2016/05/26/transformers-last-knight-principal-photography-begins-cuba-315964
  6. Any updates in Joe land? Joecon (the final one) seems to be a little late this year and occurs in about three weeks. Hopefully there will be some big announcements.
  7. I have avoided sales threads that add on 3%. Why? Because "Math" Why do I have to do the math for you?
  8. The thread was probably poofed because it had a lot of things going on it that had nothing to do with the selling of Roy's books.
  9. I would rather have a Cap 1 I have more of a personal attachment to Captain America than the "Original Human Torch" That Cap punching Hitler cover is beyond badass
  10. Chinese knock off. The backpack is the wrong color and the hands are too shiny plasticy... the hands are ill fitted to the arm hole as well. Cool piece though... as I do not think Lego will EVER make a deadpool figure again.
  11. Eagle Force is supposedly getting a comeback... They are working on a 3 3/4" line... https://www.facebook.com/eagleforcereturns/
  12. I have another Joe 215 Snake Eyes 9.8 that I am saving for "me" as I do like them. However, they seem to have issued the classic artwork with the drawn classic figure for issue 219.
  13. Speaking of Roadblock (Nice books btw) Was hoping for 9.8's all around as for some reason that Baroness 216 seems tough. I had a few of those and those three were the nicest.
  14. ...and unpunched too! Wow!!! Looks like it just came off the production line. I definitely agree - original Kenner bubbles without yellowing from that period are worth the price of admission alone.
  15. So what am I going to post first? There is only one thing that I could post first. Rebel Soldier (Hoth) This is the very first action figure that I ever received. Yes, this is the original and has been in my desk in a box for years separate from everything else. When my grandmother bought this for me my mother made me understand that there would be "no more." We all see how that turned out. When GI Joe came a rolling through in its height after Star Wars started winding down, Hoth Rebel Soldier made it to the Joe team for some reason with the winter themed Joes. Then Hoth Rebel Solider graduated to a coffee cup on my shelf for some reason where he stayed for a number of years until I realized one day that I still had the very first figure I ever received. Now he resides in my desk. The cool thing is that for years I wanted a carded sample of the original figure, as I remember the wonderment of opening that first figure. Last year I finally found an AFA graded first release Rebel Soldier on the first series card back that actually had the same paint variation of the version I originally received. The other pics are of an AFA graded carded sample.
  16. When I first head this term I literally said, "Huh"... then it made sense... The stuff is addictive. I know that there are a few hardcore collectors on these boards and some very knowledgable people in this area. So share what you want, what you picked up and discuss anything you find interesting.
  17. Set Photos are being spread around - no spoilers as we already know that Rey, Chewbacca and R2-D2 travelled to Ireland to see Luke. http://makingstarwars.net/2016/04/set-photos-for-star-wars-episode-viii-reveal-ahch-to-and-millennium-falcon-sets/ What is amazing is how they duplicated the actual island on an outdoor sound stage. I wonder if the people below are ever in danger from all the drones flying above and crashing into one another....
  18. This is probably the best 7.0 on the planet. Saying this is probably not hyperbole. Thanks Barton! It does not disappoint in hand either. Most of the book is NM. Just some scrapes on the spine keep it from going into orbit. In fact thanks to everyone for the nice compliments - it is fun to own a book like this Just saw this... Congrats.. Just wow !
  19. That Ghost Rider, Hobby and Spidey set is bad !!! Also totally getting the Spidey bridge set!! I'll have to post a pic of my sets later. Forgot about this thread! How are we feeling on the knock off Lego dudes? They look like the legit sets! Depends on the maker of the bricks. I bought a few sets to see what the deal was. The bricks "feel" cheap. There is definitely a difference. I noticed a slightly oily feel to many of them. I also noticed that they did not have the exact bonding / or grip to their own make of bricks let alone Lego. They also have a distinct smell. It is hard to describe. It is not an offensive odor but there is a definitely something there. Now the minifigures are a different story. There seem to be two types of mini figures. The ones that are from many of those sets are of similar types as the bricks themselves. However, I have begun to see some high quality versions out there lately. The figures are printed with new deco's and are sealed making the design as durable as a standard lego minifigure if not more durable actually. You can definitely tell the difference when you have them in hand between the high quality knock offs and the cheaply made ones. Lego is definitley th
