  1. Well, I got back my first this year's bound shipment. Here's what I got - My next three volumes of Master of Kung Fu (collecting #34-100 with a couple Annuals) Thor #117-148 (from Special Marvel Ed. and Marvel Spectacular) Cheaper than buying Marvel Masterworks. Amongst these books Tales of Asgard was reprinted and I will have them bound together also. Skull the slayer #1-8 and also MTO #35 and 36 where they were rescued. Harbinger #0-23 I used the TPB to give me 1-9 and regular issues for the rest. Solar Man of the Atom #0-30 Using TPB Alpha and Omega for #0-10 and regular issues for the rest. Submariiner #49-72 Lots of reading ahead.
  2. I got these hard bounds at my local Half Price Books for under $10 each with some coupons I had. These are soft bound dalies.
  3. Just got these in end of last week. I upgraded this book to a 9.8. (I collect the Freedom Fighters)
  4. I got these a little bit ago to add to my collection.
  5. I just love our "Half Priced Books". Some of these I got for 25 and 50 cents each. Some for $1.50 and the Captain Atom for $7.00. They are mostly VF/NM. Look at Wolverine's claws.
  6. I got this from Snakeyes a couple week ago. Very professional.
  7. Been doing pretty good at yard sales this year. Somethings that I did not take pictures of are: 1 gallon bag of Fisher Price people and furniture Small collection of Strawberry Short Cakes Complete set of 1983 Topps football for $2.00 Here are some other goodies -
  8. If you are able to mail them via medial mail, like I am, if I don't have any, I get small shipping boxes from Walmart that perfectly holds at least that many for under 50 cents each. I bag them up in the bags I shared about earlier, with carboard on each side if not already boarded, and use either bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or as I have started using is the shredded up paper from my paper shredder for cushion. Make sure that all flaps on box are taped good, the label is taped on good, and you can print a label from going to Paypal, if they paid that way, and print off a label from their payment. Make sure that they comics are well packed and box is well tapped as the USPS plays hockey with your packages.
  9. For 1-5+ comics I use - I know that the envelopes are not as sturdy as a box, but I make them sturdier than they are. I take my box tape and tape over all edges to keep the sides from tearing in transit. I run a piece down the middle to strengthen that. I also put two pieces of sturdy cardboard on each side of the book(s) and put them in a plastic bag and tape it up. I bought a box of gallon size bags that you tie. Very inexpensive. I use Delivery Confirmation on every package that I send out. No matter if it is a $1.00 comic. To many books are getting destroyed and/or lost in transit and I would rather have my books tracked somehow so they can be located if so. If sending media mail is your choice then these sized envelopes can be bought in bulk on ebay for around 20 cents each.
  10. Here's what I got in the mail today. Both are German alternates and the Justice League comes with a big poster inside. I have another JL on the way.
  11. I understand what you are saying, but look at it from this point of view, to give some of these "positive" comments is like a "kudos" for what they are selling. It is better, sometimes, than putting your books up for sale and get no response at all. You can't tell if your books aren't worth it or if maybe people just don't have the dough to spend right now. Just another way of looking at it.
  12. Thank you. There was some really good stuff at that show. I wish I would have had more money there. The gentleman I bought these from had more and a lot of silver X-Men and ASM. He was selling for under half of guide.
