  1. Amongst the things I have for sale in my thread, I like these the most. Figure is mine that I put in for effect.
  2. I really hate that too. I have driven distances just to find out they sold a day or two sooner and the ad still advertises them for sale. When I try to say something they act like they can't understand what I am saying.
  3. Amazing Spider-Man 284 Amazing Spider-Man 285
  4. Wombat bought some 7-11 superhero cups from me and paid very fast. A pleasure to do business. Thanks.
  5. I met Stan Lee around 1990 and he was pretty nice. He really enjoyed the Marvel Universe 1 hologram I got him to sign. I also me Boris Valejo twice, Julie Bell once, and sitting behind Julie was her sister who lived in the Seattle area at the time. One of the cards I had for Boris sing was of Julie's sister as she posed for it. She wasn't there for the show, just to be there for her sister and I asked if the card and she said yes. I asked if she would sign it for me and she did. Very nice people.
  6. This room looks great. Can I thumb through you comic boxes?
  7. You missed the point. It isn't that he didn't get the chance to purchase the book. It was how the possible seller handled the situation. If the seller didn't want to sell the book or didn't want to deal with the buyer any longer then some common decency should have been in order to say so rather than ignoring him. This isn't "high maintenance" nor not "take rejection very well". It's about respect towards other people. I wouldn't want to purchase from any seller who treats other people like this and think that it is okay.
  8. Hit up a garage sale on Sunday and surprised these were still there.
  9. Good job and find. This is why I try to keep myself educated about collectibles.
  10. I'm glad that the weather has allowed us to get back out looking this year. Here are somethings that I was able to pick up. This is around 6" tall and is a 1974 bank from Berliner Disconto Bank. At a yard sale I dug though a small box that had computer games in it and found these 80's Battletech Ral Partha metal figures.
  11. But remember there are a lot of board members that think forgetting something is scumbag behavior.
  12. Not for me and certainly not at $1. If a seller wants to take a chance I hold them responsible for delivering the item to me as described. I would be more likely to block a buyer that is upset over $1 than I would be to block a seller who shipped me an item that was received as expected. I see people make comments that they had a comic shipped in an envelope and make a stink. In the end if they're happy with the item then they're just being picky. The argument isn't about the $1.00. It is about paying for a certain way of shipping and not getting it. To many people think like this. When you like that seller did you are playing Russian Roulette with their books. I don't care if 200 other books have made it fine. It is mine I am worried about and this type of mind set and shipping speaks great volumes about the seller. Like a big "AVOID" sign.
  13. (thumbs u Thank you. I was just looking for where to talk about it. (thumbs u In general if you receive the item as described then I consider it a good transaction. The seller may have mixed up which package he was discussing. If you got what you paid for be It's short sightedness like this that causes problems. I know because I was bombarded with a bunch of people like this a couple months ago where you miss the point completely and make the the OP the villain. What would you do if you went to a restaurant and you order a medium steak, baked potato, and salad, yet they bring you a well done steak, fries, and salad. You call the waiter over and make a complaint only for him to say that you got your steak, potato, and salad so, be happy. The point here is that you didn't get what you ordered/paid for. If I contact a seller and they tell me that they box their comics with bubbled wrap and I buy based on this only to have it show up in an envelope I did get what I was paying for. So many people think that comment, "at least you got your books" justifies everything done wrong in the transaction. Sellers should follow their own terms of service and made accountable when they don't. Open your minds and put yourselves in the shoes of those who you are doing these things to. Customer service is the backbone in servicing customers.
  14. ....... I always knew that Bob was the consummate dealer ..... a cut above the rest ..... but it would seem his powers have morphed to another MUCH higher level. He has now manifested the ability to ship a package from California while he, himself, is in New York. No one else but the Venerable Harley Yee is able to exist simultaneously in two places at the same time. Congratulations on your passage into the Inner Sanctum, oh Blazing One. As always, the books were nicer than the grades.... GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Nice books. I'm loving these covers more as I see more of them.
  15. What did I deflect and defend? You have as much a vested interest in this as me (just as Bedrock stated last week). You are just inflexible and refuse to ever admit when you're wrong. I've already explained that I answered the OP and also explained my answer. If that's a deflection and we're having another pressing thread, I'm out. I've had enough of those to last me a lifetime. I didn't realise Richard had made any such comments...I don't usually have the time for CG. I've now tracked them down and answered appropriately. In truth, I am potentially damaging my 'vested interests' with my continuing criticisms...but that won't stop me calling BS. Giving is the head-up on what, precisely? That you're clueless? Don't worry, this thread is probably sufficient. \(thumbs u
  16. Sold some X-Men cards to Davedawgbg. He paid quickly and was very pleasant to deal with. Jeff
  17. When Dave Cochran left the book he intended for Wolverine to keep that costume that he got from Fang, but Byrne changed it back . Dave was not happy. Funny thing is that Dave changed his costume before left and Dave took over again.
  18. I collect the Buyer's Guides and would love to have these. Congrats.
  19. Would love to have this book. Congrats. Looks good. (thumbs u
