  1. you miss understood, he meant there were 80 different spots of foxing/mold.
  2. and lets not forget that there were multiple phases of submissions by the seller The first where he discovered the loophole (one book that came back on a character blue label despite restoration) And the second where he exploited the loophole (multiple books submitted for Spider character labels all that had restoration and/or trimming)
  3. just a wonder for those more experienced with ebay selling. If he sold the book, but then processed the return of the book thru ebay (since he said he was taking back all the sold books) does ebay offer to relist the book and could that be the mechanism that led to the book being relisted despite it being sold (again, only possible IF he processed the return thru ebay, which I'd assume he did so he wouldnt be out the fees)?
  4. Three odd submissions to track, just shipped, so starting my record for milestones. Mechanical Error fix (2 books, label swap) 8/25 Shipped via FedEx Restoration Removal/Clean & Press/Regrade 8/25 Shipped via USPS Priority Reholder (hopefully) for Pedigree Label 8/25 Shipped via USPS Priority
  5. fair point, but man I LOVE seeing Perez's detail work in those big splashes in COIE in the biggest size possisble (how great would an artist edition be?!?!?)
  6. this one? This one is the one based on the '83 OHOTMU. It has all the main characters as of '83. But the Deluxe version (being reprinted in the other Omnibus) allowed for multiple pages of the main Marvel characters, while the older OHOTMU limited it to one page. I mean one page isnt enough just for Peter's romantic entanglements!
  7. Marvel released their next pre-order for November, and was thrilled to see this even if I disagree with their formatting. So a 1400 page omnibus is a behemoth, and I dont understand why they didnt split it up into two volumes so they could include the meaningful '89 Updates from the Update issues. I assume they arent going to do a second volume. I do wish they'd do updates to it since Marvel wasnt etched in stone back in 85-87, stuff has continued to happen!
  8. LOVE that Waid/Wieringo run of F4. I have the HCs from back in the day before the Omnibus came out. Cant believe they took so long to put out the Omnibus, its an ICONIC run.
  9. I have Absolute COIE. Its great. Lots of extras from the creators, some extra pages from key moments in tie in books. I think it's one of the best done Absolutes. (there are also the COIE Compendiums that print in HC the various full tie in issues from the event)
  10. Can we petition moderators to mark all marketplaces threads from the 1800s as "CLOSED" so they cant be commented on?
  11. Just got a few Space Adventures back from CGC so I thought I'd take group photo... 8 pedigrees, 3 Charlton file copies. And i think 13 highest graded copies.
  12. These two pictures make me wonder... We know she was old enough to be working (in or near the camp), did she maybe work at the camp newsstand itself? Did she write her name on copies to "lay claim" to them as they came in? If we knew the frequency of new books coming in to the camp (I assumed weekly, but since we can see that there are "daily" news papers, so its probable that deliveries were made more frequent than weekly, and those deliveries may have included a few comic bundles) we could have an idea.. .

  15. And three straight up randos. Was happy with the 9.6 "Cowboys and Aliens" Adams cover
  16. 3 highest graded Charlton File Copies Yes they flipped my labels for the SA52 and SA59... they're headed back for a fix. And a couple of 3rd highest, and the SA30 was a deslabbed PGbech 8.0, i knee wasnt that high....
  17. Huh. FedEx SAID it required my signature (which was consistent with previous) but they just dropped it off at my doorstep, no knock no effort to get a signature. Is that common?
  18. General slowdown is hitting FedEx too. My last two CGC signature deliveries have taken two days once they're "out for delivery" instead of the usual one day. Im assuming their volume is up and they cant get their days deliveries done so they are frequently spilling over into a second day.
  19. It's that thing where you're excited that you're books are F/I/S, but then you look at the grades... any you're less exicted. FAST TRACK VALUE (15 day turnaround) Delivered: 7/20/2020 Received: 7/27/2020 Scheduled for Grading 8/4/42020 Grading / Quality Control 8/10/2020 Finalize/Image/Ship: 8/11/2020 9 books graded. 2 came back above expected grade (both were two grades higher than expected, yay!) 3 came back at or near the grade expected (2 at grade, 1 one grade below expected) 4, FOUR came back under grade by 2 grades or more... And of course the two that did well were the two I cared LEAST about... Im super bummed one of my File copies apparently had some staining I missed and my expected 9.0 was graded 7.5
  20. FAST TRACK VALUE (15 day turnaround) Delivered: 7/20/2020 Received: 7/27/2020 Scheduled for Grading 8/4/42020 Grading / Quality Control 8/10/2020 This is easy to predict... it's one week per stage. So I'm guessing shipping 8/17...
  21. Anyone who enjoyed Brian Woods Vertigo title "DMZ" will be happy to know that with the solicit of the DMZ compendium some of the Vol 1 Deluxe Hardcovers (OOP and running around $100) are hitting ebay at reasonable prices. If you've been waiting it's a good time to grab em. The OHCs are better quality (and easier reads to me) than the super thick compendiums.
  22. oh I totally did! I rescind my specific confusion and revert to my state of general confusion.
