YYZ
YYZ is awesome, but La Villa Strangiato would be unreal.
Long time Rush fan here.
I've also worked on both Geddy Lee's cars (in two different shops) and also helped restore Alex Lifeson's e-Type Jag. Also dropped a car off at Geddy's house as teenager.
Love La Villa Strangiato even more than YYZ.
Has anybody told you lately that "You are awesome".
I will remind myself the next time you are in my presence that I am standing next to the mechanic that worked on Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson's cars.
Not just a mechanic Bob, a Mercedes Benz mechanic
Get your facts straight
Jim
A Mercedes Benz mechanic that can't construct a stage out of wood...
If I wasn't going to be locked up grading, I'd offer....just need some 2/4s, some plywood, screws and a screw gun most likely...
Carpenter love fest, going on here there is.
The ability to build is not the issue. It's the time and location
Maybe try a local university's theater group? I was part of the one at USNA
Probably a few geeks on the stage crew who might exchange their time for some comics or passes to the show or something...

Due to a renewed interest in this subject in the Registry Expansion thread I am sticking this thread for now to ask for help in tracking down & removing all TPB's from sets. Feel free to post your removal requests here or in the Expansion thread.
Thanks for the help everyone!
@Rune - I sure did!
I'll just wait a few days to see if anyone prefers one over the other before I change the set, FYI.
-
Based upon the discussion above and in the expansion thread it seems that the trend is to put TPBs in their own sets, which I am OK with, or make them non-competitive which I am also OK with. I haven't made any major changes yet, so the discussion is still open as is the poll above...
Basically I'm not the one you want to argue with, try addressing those who are asking to have them removed and express your counterpoint.

Just read Oryx & Crake by Margot Atwood....oddly enough I came across & read After the Flood first, but both are good and it didn't seem to spoil either one by reading them out of order as the stories are related but only slightly intertwined. Just before that I read Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi so I guess I was on a dystopian future kinda kick.
Up next is Seeing Further: The Story of Science and the Royal Society by Bill Bryson

perhaps we need to have a beer exchange....with or without homebrew (depending on availability).

I'm working on a green wit....slowly...very slowly

The Drunken Botanist by Amy Stewart

This would be eligible for a re-holder. You can include a note about the spots if you prefer.

Wizard First was a specialized grading program that was only provided for Wizard directly. We do not consider those books to be CGC graded as they were graded using the scale provided by Wizard so that book would have to be completely regraded and would loose all Wizard First designations on the new label.
-
It would receive a .5 as it is incomplete.

Tales from the Crypt #40
-
This has been updated in our system.
-
No, just fill it out using the link on any of the pages listed under option #3:
-
You can submit the book on a Reholder submission form with a note requesting a Pedigree review and any supporting documentation. The charge will be determined by whether it was noted on the original submission and if it receives the pedigree or not. It will not be regraded.
-
No, it is just a clerical error. If your book is not labeled correctly,we just ask that you send in for the label to be corrected. We ask that you list the book on a Reholder submission form for tracking purposes but there will be no charge for the correction. If you have any questions please call customer service at 877-662-6642.
-
Yes. We are authorized by CGC to press SS books as long as the submitter chooses to have them transferred directly from CCS to CGC. Please note that CGC will charge the applicable Signature Series grading fees. CGC graders know only that the book is Signature Series and have no knowledge of the previous grade or any work performed by CCS.
-
If a book presents an overhang, which is when the cover extends beyond the interior or the comic, and that overhang is such that we cannot safely encapsulate the book, then it is returned ungraded and the account is credited. You should inspect the covers of your books prior to submission. Also, you are welcome to call prior to submitting a book to see if we are aware that it cannot be graded.
-
Yes, we are working on adding CCS order tracking to the member/dealer sites.
-
We would note that there was writing on the first page, but not necessarily what was written if it was not significant or legible.
-
You just have to sign up on the Collectors Society for a free membership (if you are not a member already). The journals are posted there, but there is a link at the bottom to "share" them on the Chat Boards using your Username and Password for this site.
-
Since you are a paid member, if you log into the CGC website using the e-mail and password you provided when you joined, you will be re-directed to your Member Homepage which has links for both the PDF submission form and the online step-by-step submission form.
