  1. Has he been active on the boards lately?
  2. There should be a limited Kayakkid appreciation figure at some point.
  3. The price is nice on the trade. Retail $9.99. Amazon $8.99. DCBS (now too late) $4.99
  4. That clarification does not change my +1 What does "unread and untouched" have to do with pristine? It's certainly possible that some books got damaged in packing/transit from Diamond. It's also certainly possible that a copy has been opened, handled, read, etc. and still garner a 9.8 or higher from CGC. Conservatively, I'd say at least 1/2 of the print run are 9.8 candidates and higher, although for Todd #1, I'm not sure how prevalent the spotting on the left side of the front cover are, and whether CGC would consider that a printing defect or downgrade the book. Get a loupe and look at the bottom left corner. All mine look like a head of cabbage. Even my slabbed 9.8 I mean this: Notice the spotting on the man's suit? I this this particular defect was pretty common with the run. I have one with that kind of stuff, but its not slabbed. maybe folks need to show their slabs.

  6. Meeting this morning with producers went really well -- they're also committing to merchandise. How much and what exactly remains to be seen. Tee shirts will be first and I pitched them some ideas including "In Todd We Trust" -- good stuff. Ken, I just wanted to echo everyone else's sentiments and congratulate you on all of your success. I've been reading this series from the beginning and was drawn in by the delightfully flawed but well-developed characters, excellent writing and dark humor. I think with the TV show and all of the prospects for merchandising, such as t-shirts, toys and the like, the possibilities are endless and will continue to expose Todd to a wider audience. Can't wait for issue 5 and seeing everything else that you have in store. Again, congratulations and thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights on these boards. Shucks. Thanks so much. To everyone on this board. We always hoped the love we had for these characters would resonate with an audience, but a lot of people thought we were nuts. Eric Stephenson saw the truth, thank god. And you guys proved he was right. As the saying goes, "Do what you love and the money will follow" Hookers and Blow.
  7. Todd's fate is being discussed at this exact moment
  8. Uh oh One just arrived in the mail. Seller never marked it as shipped. Needs a press.. But it's a first print. One more to go.
  9. I agree. I always thought he was Ken's crazy brother in disguise. Thanks Ryan & thelastword! Feels good seeing something unique from its genesis and knowing 1000% it is very special. There would be one heck of a long list if we put together all the amazing things this character can be "put through". It's endless....and maintains originality. Also, for those not around from the start, Ken 2 cent has given us a bit of a peek into his TV connections and getting other projects moving forward. It's a no-brainer with how good of a writer Ken is and Perker's artwork REALLY fits the bill! Holding my breath for: 0. TODD limited edition ACTION figure (or Gumby flexible!!!) 1. TODD alien abduction story 2. TODD bigfoot encounters while snipe & butterfly hunting () 3. TODD Skull & Bones secret society initiation (new arc will be interesting!) Doesn't hurt that my name is also Todd. Prices could very well go completely parabolic on the first few issues if we get some solid production (timeframe) news. Oh, and I AIN"T giving up on The Sixth Gun going to TV or Movie too. You know how vocal I've been on that as well. Holding your breath sometimes works, doesn't it? YOU are the best, Todd. All I know about a timeframe is that I have to be at Titmouse's office tomorrow morning at 10:30 sharp! BTW, I'm thinking of Edie Falco to play Todd's mom, Peggy. Right? Who framed Roger Rabbit style.
  10. I'm still waiting for two I bought from eBay last week. Haven't been shipped yet.
  11. Just saw this and it reminded me of something [/url]
  12. To everyone who passed this book along, or even just talked about it loudly, we are indebted to you. There's nothing more valuable than impassioned support. Let's keep it going -- the trade paperback comes out Aug 7th and we want it to hook as many readers as possible going in to our next arc -- #5 (on sale Sept 4th). Tell your friends to pre-order the trade now! the trade is 8.99 pre order on amazon right now
  13. I guess you didn't read Fiona's blog. Saga just got cancelled. I can finally afford an RRP! You can probably get a 9.9 for like $40 shipped on www.thehouseofcomics.com ...?
  14. Shut up!! Wow that's amazing I didn't see that was a Sold price.
