  1. Yeah, they go there in the stories sometimes but that's the only cover I know of. Onward! Here's #81 and #82
  2. Calling All Boys #10: https://www.comics.org/issue/229004/ http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=4977 https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/preview/index.php?did=5562&page=9
  3. It's his town home, and his regular hole is his country estate?
  4. S&S #1 is so rare I've only ever heard of one person actually managing to upgrade their copy. Admittedly, that was me, but still... Not that my current copy is spectacular, but at least it has a cover unlike my first copy.
  5. And here's #77 and #78. #76 was the last issue I don't have, so these two begin 170 consecutive issues to post without a gap.
  6. It is a bit odd for the Halloween cover to show in October rather than November, isn't it? And here we go with #74 and #75:
  7. What a stunning copy! Here's my most recent Kelly addition, from ECCC. I'm almost done putting together my run of Pogo comics, I just need the FC 148, Pogo 8, Our Gang 6, and about 3 other issues that even by my low standards I need to upgrade.
  8. The Oz connection is why I recognized the book and grabbed it. My oldest copy of Wizard is a 5th state from 1930 or so, though; would love to get an earlier one.
  9. Not exactly a platinum age comic, but closely adjacent enough that I figure it's worth posting here; just found it. Based on the comic strip, published around 1906:
  10. Not a huge pick-up, but the pulp-sized issues of ASTOUNDING from 1943 aren't particularly common:
  11. This might not be the most popular thread, but I'll keep going as long as I know some people are enjoying it! Here's #58 and #59:
  12. Onward with I've sold on quite a few books, but that one is not going anywhere. Way too much sentimental value at this point, if nothing else. Onward to #52 and #53:
  13. And here's #50 and #51. Still a handful of holes to go, but from here on out things are pretty darn solid.
  14. Here's #42 and #48. I've had the #48 for over 30 years now; it was the first 1940's issue I ever owned. Not the first LTMM issue, mind you; the first 1940's comic, period. So it holds a very special place in my collection: it's the book where I found out it was actually possible to even own comics that old; that I could eventually see bits of comic history going back almost to the start of the hobby. It's been a long road since then, but getting that book was the first solid step I ever made along it. (We'll get to my very first issue of Looney Tunes eventually; it was awesome to get but I thought of that as a one-off bit of luck, not a repeatable feat.)
  15. And #35 and #37. Tomorrow will be the other big gap day, after tomorrow there's only 5 holes left.
